Custom Box with Create-A-Card Die

Here's another project I made using the new Crafter's Companion Feathered Friends Create-A-Card Die that is coming to HSN on July 11th. These dies are great for making quick custom boxes!


I made the box lid using the Red Luxury Cardstock. Love that stuff! Inside the lid of the box, behind the cut out, I adhered clear acetate.

I lined the bottom of the box with silver mirror luxury cardstock and added a couple die-cut hearts from the silver glitter cardstock.

On the edges of the lid, I added some panels of the silver glitter cardstock and then some decorative tape. I also added silver Stickles Glitter Glue, black rhinestones and black ribbon.

Create-A-Card Feathered Friends

Hello friends,

I'm back again today with another Crafter's Companion sneak peek of what's coming July 11th to the big Craft Event on HSN.

I just know these new Create-A-Card dies are gonna sell out fast! They are seriously SO.MUCH.FUN!

For my card base, I used the Gatefold card base from the Crafter's Companion Create-A-Card Fancy Card Blanks set.

On the inside of the card, I die-cut the left section of the die, flipped it over to the right side and die-cut again. These dies are made to work perfectly like that! Awesome, huh!

The die set also comes with the heart die so you can do a bit more decorating.

This new Create-A-Card die set, and many more, will be available July 11th on HSN. Tune in and watch the show to see all the great samples, and to see Sara demonstrate using these dies.

Entwined by Leonie Pujol

Hello friends,

I wanted to pop in here quick and let ya know about the Leonie Pujol dies & embossing folders that will be available TOMORROW over on the Crafter's Companion USA website. YAY!

Here's a card I made using some of the products.

I can honestly say I've never ever seen anything as unique as these entwined dies. The concept of being able to "entwine" them gives the crafter so much more added options!  I used the Funky Heart Base to die cut the heart and sentiment using Crafter's Companion Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. The vine is die cut using Green Envy, Forest Green and Rose Pearl Shimmering Cardstocks. Then I cut and layered the vine pieces for dimension. A bit of white gel pen on the flower buds for extra detail.

The sentiment is layered on a piece of Pink Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. I used the Leonie Pujol Entwined Love Embossing Folder on the white card base. I also used The Ultimate to score a frame around the embossing on the card front.  This card sure did turn out fun!

HSN Sneak Peek

Hello friends! We are super excited to have another HSN Event with Crafter's Companion USA on Wednesday, March 8th.  Sara Davies is will be back (YAY!) along with Jennifer Tryon with fabulous new goodies! Our design team has been super duper busy crankin' out a bunch of samples with the products that will be up for grabs on the show. Here's a sneak peek of some new Leonie Pujol products that are coming to the show.

Don't you just LOVE THIS?!!! I sure do! I used the new Leoni Pujol Folk Art Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Entwined Love 5"x7" Embossing Folder.

This design looks like a lot of work, but it's so easy! You can whip it out in less than 30 minutes!

It's so hard to capture sparkle on camera...but if you look close, I added Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to the bursts coming out from the rhinestone on the heart.

February 2017 Desktop Calendar Page

Hello friends. It's been a while since I blogged or even really crafted. I got a horrible flu bug the first day of CHA and I've been down ever since. I'm finally today feeling human enough to get a quick project done and posted.

It's time again for another month in my desktop calendar. I always have fun coming up with designs that will fit in the small space I have to create in. For this month I used a really fun Mask & Stencil Set along with 2 stamp sets by Leonie Pujol for Crafter's Companion.

I took the stencils and placed it down on the page. Then I blended some Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Inks over the mask. Next I stamped the little images with black ink. Once done stamping, I removed the stencil mask to reveal the most perfect "Love" sentiment. I love how this turned out!

I added a few bright pink rhinestones and a piece of washi tape in the corner for added texture and interest. That's it! These stencils and stamp really are a load of fun to create with. Check out all the different stencil and stamp sets over at Crafter's Companion HERE.

Love & Romance

Crafter's Companion added more beautiful products to the Sara's Signature Collection. Check out all the NEW Love & Romance products on the website HERE.

The beautiful Love & Romance products are perfect for weddings, bridal showers, birthdays, love, friendship and more. Here's a card I designed using the Love & Romance 6" x 6" paper pad.

I love love LOVE this new paper pad! The large heart in the center was trimmed out using an craft knife. I saved the cut-out piece to use on another project. That's a great way to get more use from 1 sheet of designer paper. I'll be sharing the project using that scrap piece very soon ;)

I adhered a white cardstock panel behind the paper - which I cut out the heart center on as well. In addition to giving a nice mat around the patterned paper, it added stability to the popped up panel. The entire panel is then adhered with dimensional foam tape a gray cardbase, which I a stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on before hand. (This would also make a great frame for a picture!) The stamp is from Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy - Only Words - Through the Rain stamp set.

To balance out the design, I trimmed a few floral elements from another sheet out of the paper pad. What a fantastic way to use up some scraps. Even if it's only a partial flower, you can still use them, as I did with the larger flower. I simply tucked the end under the panel. No one will ever know.

My main squeeze!

Hello Friends! Another day...another fun project to share. This card can be sent for any happy occasion. It's sure to give a little chuckle and a smile.

The stamp is from Eat Cake Graphics. It's called Main Squeeze. Isn't it a HOOT?!!!

I colored with Spectrum Noir Markers:

• Hair - EB3, EB8, GB8
• Skin - FS1, FS2, FS3, TN2, CR3
• Mouth - FS7
• Dress/Shoes - BT2, BT4, BT5, DR2, DR5
• Pants - EB1, EB2, GB8
• Shirt/Shoes - GG2, GG3, Blender
• Shading - IG1, HB1, Blender

To create the shaded "frame" around the image, I masked off the area and lightly blended with distress ink. Super simple and very effective! The hearts are die cut and colored over with Clear Sparkle Pen, then covered with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment stamp is also from Eat Cake Graphics. It's called In Her Handbag. The full sentiment actually says "In her handbag was chocolate. She was happy."  I just inked up and stamped the part I wanted. That's a great way to get more miles from your sentiment stamps!

Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge

Hello crafty peeps! With Valentine's Day just around the corner..let's have a little fun with some hearts.

Today starts a new challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs - Hearts.
Easy enough...right :) Get all the details on the Challenge Blog.

Here's my card design...

I used the Ladybug Love Digi image along with a sentiment from the Digi Sentiment Set. All the coloring is done with Spectrum Noir Markers as follows:

• Reds - DR2, CR5, PP3
• Blacks - IG10, IG8, IG6, IG4, IG2
• Ground shading - IG1, IG2, Blender
• Shading around image - GB1, IG1, Blender
• Wing Hearts - True Black

I printed the ladybug a few extra times so I could trim out the wings and pop them up on the card. After coloring, I added black glitter to the hearts on the wings. To make the wings and red hearts glossy, I colored over with VersaMark Marker and heat set with clear embossing powder.

The card measures 4.25" x 4.25" and the image panel is popped up on foam adhesive. That's all there is too it!

2016 Calendar

It's Calendar Time! Better late than never, right? LOL

So here's my new 2016 Calendar Project. Let's start with the cover...

I absolutely LOVE how this design came together! So much that I am going to use it for making a card! (stay tuned!)

I used Crafter's Companion Die'sire Classiques Only Words 1" Contemporary Numbers & Punctuation to die cut the year. As you can see, I used the negative of the die cut numbers, preserving the negative 0 and 6 centers and mounted to a white cardstock panel to create the year. It's all layered on top of the Die'sire - Nouveau Stamping Frame die.

The flowers are die cut from Bebunni Floral - Daisy die set. The sentiment stamp is from Sentimentals - Memories are Made stamp set.

Next up is January...
I know...it's done and gone. But you still wanna see it...right?

I decided on a fun little winter scene for the January page. The snowflake stamp is from a Bebunni Christmas Stamp Set - Rudolph. To create the cluster of houses and trees, I used the Nordic Christmas Stamp Set - Santa's Delivery. I stamped and colored, then trimmed out and cut apart and layered. I added crystal glitter for a bit of "snow sparkle" - applied with a glue pen.

BG1, BG3, CT4, CG2, DG2, DG3, DG4, GB8, GB9, GB10, DR5, DR6, DR7, Blender

And here's February...

The Sheena Xmas - Heartfelt Wishes stamp set is great for more than just Christmas! I love using my holiday stamp sets for more than the holiday they were intended for. No reason to let 'em sit around collecting dust all year...right? ;) LOL

I used 1 sentiment stamp from Sentimentals - Love is all you need stamp set, stamping part of it in each heart.

Spectrum Noir Markers used for coloring:

• Red Heart - CR5, DR3, DR5
