Oh Holy Night Edge'ables

It's almost time for our next 24hr Crafting Event on HSN with Crafter's Companion! Loads and loads of amazing goodies! Join us and watch Sara and Jen Tuesday Oct 3rd starting at 2am ET.

I wanted to share a super quick and easy design I made with some of the products that will be on the show. I created this card to showcase one of the fantastic Die'sire Edge'ables Christmas Only Words Dies - Oh Holy Night.

I die cut the top edge of a panel of Gold Luxury Cardstock.  Then I embossed the bottom portion of the panel with Sheena's Festive Embossing Folder - Wise Travelers.  Next I tied a Black Luxury Satin Edge Organza Ribbon, from the New Sara Davies Black & Gold Signature Collection, around the panel.

To assemble the card, I adhered a panel of Shimmering Cardstock - Black Pearl to a white notecard base, then mounted the gold panel on top with dimensional foam tape.  Addin a few crystal rhinestone embellishments completed the design.

The Best of Luck

Crafter's Companion is coming to HSN again on July 11th! I hope you will be watching and that you get your orders in to get some of the great new items. HSN crafting events always have great prices on bundles and shipping.

Here's a sample project I made using one of the NEW Long Word Edge'ables dies that will be on the show. These dies are perfect for larger card designs and scrapbook pages.

This card design is a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" blue Luxury Mirror Cardstock folded in half. Then I die-cut the Edge'ables Die at an angle. Totally takes a card design to the next level. Worked out beautifully with the Luxury cardstock because it's white on the reverse side.

The stamps I used on my card will also be on the show. They are new Sheena Douglass Stamps. Aren't they are stunning!!! Must have sets for sure! I stamped them on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock with Black Ink, then colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. Then I fussy cut the images.

What a magnificent greeting to send to someone!

This card turned out just how I imagined it. You can see how perfectly the Edge'able die cut through and embossed the thick mirror card.

I love how Sheena stamps are full of detail. That makes them so easy to color!

Make sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 11th!

TODAY on HSN

Hello everyone! Today's the day! Sara Davis is on the HSN Show with oodles of great products from Crafter's Companion USA and Spectrum Noir!  Click HERE to see the schedule and other details.

One of the fantastic new MUST HAVE items on the show is the fantastic Spectrum Noir AquaBlend Watercolor Pencils. Seriously...these pencils ROCK! I colored this with 'em...

I stamped and heat emboss the Magnolia Blossom from Sheena A Little Bit Floral collection with gold embossing powder on Spectrum Noir Watercolor Cardstock. Then I watercolored the flowers and background with Spectrum Noir AquaBlend watercolor pencils from the Naturals set (Lagoon, Aqua, Jungle Green, Oregano, Bison) and Primaries set (Claret, Carmine).

After it was completely dry, I stamped in the background using Delicata Golden Glitz Ink. The little flowers were stamped and embossed in gold, trimmed and adhered.

I also used the Edge'ables Only Words Die - For My Special Friend. To create the gold shimmer behind the cut out letters, I inked a strip of white cardstock with the Golden Glitz ink and adhered to the back.

Card base is made from Crafter's Companion Rose Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. I think this card turned out absolutely stunning.

I know you're gonna love these new Spectrum Noir AquaBlend watercolor pencils. They make coloring fun and easy :)

Enjoy the show!

NEW Die'sire Edge'ables Sneak Peek!

Here's another peek at some of the goodies from Crafter's Companion that will be featured tomorrow, Wednesday, March 16th on the HSN Show.

I used three Die'sire Edge'ables dies on my card. See the one at the top...the one with the birds? It's BRAND NEW! That's right folks...more FUN NEW dies to add to your collection!

Making cards and other projects with theses dies is sooooo simple. Here's how I put this one together:
  1. Diecut and emboss sentiment border die from 2" x 5 1/4" white cardstock panel.
  2. Diecut and emboss flower border die from 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock panel. Before removing die from paper, lightly sponge with yellow ink. Remove die and sponge with more yellow ink.
  3. Diecut and emboss another flower border from a scrap of white cardstock and sponge with yellow ink like the first panel. Fussy cut 5 of the flowers to use for embellishments.
  4. Diecut and emboss birds border die from 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock panel. Sponge with blue and yellow ink using same process as the flower border die.
  5. Layer and adhere with dimensional foam adhesive to 5 1/2" square cardbase. Embellish with additional flowers, ribbon and rhinestones.
That's it! Adjust the panels sizes, as needed, if using other border dies. Use any color of inks and papers you like. No stamping on this one ;)

Hope you can tune in to watch the HSN Show. I can't wait to see all the samples demonstrations Sara Davies will be sharing using the Edge'ables dies and more!

Rainbows and Daisies

Hello friends! Here's a fun and cheerful card that is sure brighten someones day.

I diecut and embossed the Thank You So Much Edge'ables Only Words die on a white cardstock panel. Then I stamped the daisies from Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy Poppies and Daisies set. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink. I love how that ink catches all the fine little details of stamp images so perfectly.

To create the bright rainbow of colors, I sponged a white card base with distress inks. The white die-cut Edge'ables panel really pops with the brightly colored background! A few shiny colored sequins is all that was needed to give that extra little bit of interest.

On your Special Day

Here's a card that just makes me happy. It's made using one of the new Edge'ables Only Words Dies from Crafter's Companion - On Your Special Day.

These dies work perfectly on a diagonal. The white layer underneath is stamped and embossed in white using a sentiment from the Vintage Floral Stamp Set - Sentimentals.

After adhering the blue die-cut piece to the white panel, I added microfine glitter to fill in the letters.

The little butterflies are from Crafter's Companion Bebunni Floral Butterfly & Bee die set. These butterflies are the perfect size for so many designs! Some black rhinestones, clear sequins and some bakers twine finish off the card.  I love how this design turned out, and it's one of my favorite color combos too!

Bokeh with Love

Hey crafty friends! Hope you're having a great day. Here's a card I made using one of the new Crafter's Companion Die'sire Classiques Only Words Metal Dies.

Yep...I'm lovin' these dies. This one is called With Love. These word dies pair up perfectly with all the fun background techniques that are so trendy right now. For my card I did a vibrant watercolor wash and bokeh background. The Word Only die was cut and embossed using Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. It really pops against the vibrant colors. Crafter's Companion Shimmering cardstock is drool worthy. Just sayin'

I used Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers - Scarlet & Gold - on watercolor cardstock. After letting the wash completely dry, I did the bokeh technique with a DIY circle stencil made by die-cutting circles from a piece of scrap acetate, and sponging white ink. Also, because I'm obsessed with sequins, some fell on there too.

Thanks for stoppin' by,
