March 2016 Calendar Page

Time to flip over the calendar! Here's my March page for 2016...

Bebunni sure looks cute peeking out from that Easter egg! I colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers:

  • Bunny - CR2, CR3, IG1, IG2, IG3, IG5
  • Bunny Nose - CR4
  • Egg - LY1, GB2
  • Grass - DG2, CG2
  • Sky - BT1
To make the cracked egg, I diecut an oval, then snipped into 2 pieces, colored and glittered. The grass is just a few flicks and dots with markers...and a touch of green and crystal glitter. The tiny aqua rhinestone gems look like little flowers. MAN do I love all things bling! :)

The stamp set I used is Bebunni - Peek-A-Boo from Crafter's Companion. I stamped and cut out the part of the image I needed. TIP: This is a great way to get more bang for your buck out of all those stamp sets! You'll be amazed at how versatile stamps can be by using partial images.

Check out all the fun Bebunni papercrafting products HERE. Adorable!

Hippity Hoppity

Hello friends! Happy Easter!

I just adore Brewster the bunny from Eat Cake Graphics. Naturally, I had to make an Easter card with him, but I'll be using him for some upcoming birthday cards. Getting more out of my stamps makes me wanna hippity hop down the bunny trail too! LOL!

To make the background, I sponged the clouds using a stencil and the hills with a hand-cut mask. The grass on the hills was stamped with the mask in place. The trees are stamped on white cardstock, colored, trimmed and adhered flat. Wanna know a great trick? Of course you do! The little areas on the trees, where the branches to into the tree...I didn't cut out those areas. I just colored the white cardstock using a blue marker to match the background sky color.

I also stamped the baby's breath with the mask down, using VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white ep. And because I just LOOOOVE glitter, I added on the flowers :) The sentiment banner is hand-cut and edged in crystal glitter. All the coloring is done with Spectrum Noir Markers. For a bit more bling, I added little a few colored sequins. Kinda looks like colored Easter eggs. I also used a couple die-cuts to make the frame for the card base.

Carrot Favor

Hello everyone!

Only a couple more days until Easter, so here's a quick project idea for all you last minute crafters - like me! LOL

These little babies can be mass produced in no time! Put them in Easter baskets, set them at each place setting for your Easter meal, put a bunch in a decorative dish or basket, or hand them out to your family and friends.

Here's how:

Emboss a piece of orange cardstock with the Petite Dots embossing folder.

Die-cut scalloped circle from the embossed orange cardstock , using the largest scalloped circle die from the Die'sire Essentials Scalloped Circles set.

Gently curve the scalloped circle to form a cone. Apply liquid adhesive to one edge and hold in place for about a minute, making sure the edges stick together.

Add a strip of double sided tape to the inside of cone. This will secure the cello treat bag in place.

Add candy to clear cello treat bag and tie closed with green ribbon.

Place inside treat container, making sure it sticks to double-sided tape.

Create a fun embellished tag and tie on with green twine.

You can make these any size you want. If you don't have clear cello treat bags handy, just use the corners of sandwich baggies and cut to size. Or use plastic food wrap. The receiver will tear into these for the candy treat, so they won't even notice! LOL!

This tutorial is also shown over on the Crafter's Companion USA Blog. You can see it HERE.

Easter Eggstravaganza

NEW Fresh Brewed Designs Digi images are here!!!  And just in time for making some fun Spring and Easter cards. I totally should have done this blog post yesterday, but I've been sick in bed with the flu for 2 days. Maybe I need to make myself a feel better soon card? LOL!

I used the NEW Cutie Bug Easter Bunny digi image...and cutie it is! I'm all about the cute stuff. I colored with markers in Spring colors. Then I added crystal glitter. This is a tri-fold window card. When it's all folded up it looks like this:

The grass is a punch, the eggs and the sentiment are some rubber stamps I've had in my crafty stash from a loooooog time ago. The new Cutie Bug Easter Bunny is colored, cut out, and popped up on foam adhesive. The lime green rhinestone stickers add just a bit more green color to the front of the card, and pull the image and sentiment together.

Make sure to hop on over the see ALL the NEW Spring Digi images. You'll want 'em ALL!

April 2014 Calendar Page

Time to turn the calendar page and show ya what I created for April...

Aren't these images sooo cute!!! They are from the Spring Fling stamp set from Paper Smooches. This is one of my favorite sets. The egg and butterfly are stamped on the calendar page. I colored with my Copic markers and then added glitter. The bow was stamped on a scrap then colored, cut and adhered only in the center of the bow...leaving the loops up off the paper for a little added dimension. The bunny is stamped on a scrap then colored, cut and adhered completely flat - overlapping on top of the egg. A little glitter on the eyes and tail...and some fuzzy pink Fun Flock on the ear and nose.

Once again...thank's for stopping by to take a peek at my crafty stuff. I totally appreciate it!

See ya later!

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

Hey bloggers...

It's time for our next House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge -- and guess what......it's my turn to host the challenge.

HERE WE GO!!!!!

House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #141 - Easter Theme:
Include something that relates to Easter somewhere on the project. Bunny, Chick, Egg, Jelly Bean, a cross, Easter paper, Easter colors, or even a sentiment that relates to Easter works.  Remember to use at least 1 HM&Friends image on your project.  Get all the challenge details and see fantastic design team samples on the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge Blog HERE. Oh...and of course....GREAT PRIZES!!!!  You gotta play to win! :)

Here's my card project:

I used a Happy Hoppers stamp called Eggcellant.  SUPER DUPER CUTE!  Coloring is done with Copic Markers. The sentiment is a retired stamp retired from A Muse Artstamps.  I also used a stamp from Stampendous called Egglet...and I'm sure it's retired too.

Check out the beautiful colors of Art Glitter that I used on the eggs. It's a great little glitter kit called Caribbean.  I sprinkled Meadow FlowerSoft on the ground for more texture .  The bunnies love it! :)

It's sooooo much fun to color these images!  Most kids love to color...so how about stamping a few sheets full of HM images and let the little ones have fun with them.  You could even make a little coloring book to put in an Easter Basket.  FUN!!!

I hope you have time to pull out your House-Mouse goodies and give them some Easter love.  Thanks for stoppin' by!

Easter Treats to DIE for!

This week over on the A Muse Studio Monday Challenge Blog we are playing with Dies.

I used 3 different A Muse Studio Die Sets on my project:

Bunny Dies Set
Holiday Tag Dies Set
Scalloped Border Die Set

The grass stamped on the tag is from a set called Make a Scene....and GUESS WHAT!!!  It's on SALE this month!  YEAH BABY!
The little flower has a lime pearl in the center. All these little touches make a project that much better...yes  :)  Even down to the eyelet and silver elastic cording to hang the tag...which will help keep the little ones from ripping the tags off the jars.  They'll probably tear off the flower & bunny...but that tag will still be going strong!

Did you know that some A Muse Studio has Exclusive Dies by Spellbinders? Yep...how cool is that!  The Bunny Set is one of them.  And if you look closely...you can see that it's embossed! I LOVE doing that!

Time to play with those Paper Smooches stamps again!  We have the perfect picture to inspire your "Spring" creativity.

Cute...huh! I used the bunny from the Spring Fling set.

And now....for a closer look
Pink flock on the nose. Tiny pom pom for a tail. Twine for whiskers.
