Easter Treats to DIE for!

This week over on the A Muse Studio Monday Challenge Blog we are playing with Dies.

I used 3 different A Muse Studio Die Sets on my project:

Bunny Dies Set
Holiday Tag Dies Set
Scalloped Border Die Set

The grass stamped on the tag is from a set called Make a Scene....and GUESS WHAT!!!  It's on SALE this month!  YEAH BABY!
The little flower has a lime pearl in the center. All these little touches make a project that much better...yes  :)  Even down to the eyelet and silver elastic cording to hang the tag...which will help keep the little ones from ripping the tags off the jars.  They'll probably tear off the flower & bunny...but that tag will still be going strong!

Did you know that some A Muse Studio has Exclusive Dies by Spellbinders? Yep...how cool is that!  The Bunny Set is one of them.  And if you look closely...you can see that it's embossed! I LOVE doing that!

A Muse Studio Monday Challenge

Today over on the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog we have a photo to inspire you.

Here's what I got out of this picture:
Colors - Pink, Blue, Brown and White
Shapes - Flowers & Rectangles
Feeling - Soft, Feminine and Fabulous

I used the new A Muse Studio Floral Duet set along with one of my favorite go-to sentiment sets - Hand Scripted.  The card base is die cut.  A few Clear Twinkle Stickers add just a touch of bling.

Fast & Fabulous!

Get all the challenge & prize details on the A Muse Studio Monday Challenge Blog.

12:30pm 3/19 ETA -  As I was cleaning up in my craft room this morning...I had this big flower with the pink satin ribbon knot in the center sitting on my desk.  I picked it up and thought "what am I gonna do with this?"  Then I just tossed it down on my card. WHAT???!!!!  THAT'S IT!  It belongs!  LOL!  Seriously...THAT'S EXACTLY what happened!  I stamped just a tad bit more of a blue flower off to the left edge of the card base...then adhered the flower with foam tape.  GIT-R-DONE!  Which version do you like best?

Boy OH Boy!

Hey bloggers...it's time FORE our next A Muse Studio Challenge!

My challenge this week: Make birthday cards for the boys. I would love for you to play along this week...especially since I'm hosting it! And...I have an A Muse Studio Ocean Pigment Ink pad to give away :) Get all the challenge details on the A Muse Studio Monday Challenge Blog.

OK...I know some of you have a hard time with guy cards...so here's a Lori Barnett Tutorial:

1. Fold piece of white paper in half.
2. Stamp "Happy Birthday" on front with Blue Ink.

BAM! Yer done! Yes...it could be that easy. But that's not how I usually roll with it. I can spend HOURS coming up with just the right card for that special someone. Sound familiar? We are faaareaks! ha!! Here's a few guy card tips:

~ Keep it age appropriate.
~ Avoid glitter, rhinestones, buttons, shimmer sprays, ribbon, flowers, fancy punched edges, scallops, pink & purple.
~ Think Clean and Simple (CAS)
If I like it...I'm good with it.

For the ball, I stamped the little dots background image from the new A Muse Studio Mod Backgrounds 1 Set with Slate Pigment Ink - then punched out a 1/2" circle and attached with foam dimensional tape. Sentiment stamped with Ocean Pigment Ink.  "have a swingin' " stamp is actually "have a swingin' day" -- but left off the "day" so I could stamp a the big "birthday" under it instead.

Speaking of birthdays - we are celebrating our 1st Birthday at A Muse Studio! All sorts of fun & prizes over on Facebook.  Plus, workshop orders have some AWESOME incentives!  Email me if you have questions. Don't forget about our March Spotlight Specials...where we have even MORE birthday goodies!

All supplies available from A Muse Studio.

We have another fun challenge over on the A Muse Studio Monday Challenge Blog!

Create a monochromatic card or project.  Check out all the details and great samples HERE.

This is a great challenge for my new Sunny Side of Life stamp set from A Muse Studio! I used Latte cardstock and French Roast Pigment Ink.  The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark Ink and then embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I tried and tried and tried to take a better picture...but I'm camera challenged or something! LOL!  So here's a closeup...and maybe you can see the New Champagne Glitter better in it?  I don't know...but all I can say is in real life it's AMAZING!

Have a way spooky Boo Day!

Happy Halloween!

Here's the design I came up with for today's A Muse Studio Blog Challenge - Dry Embossing.

I used the new A Muse Studio Web/Swirls Impression Plate on Onyx cardstock...then sanded off to expose the white paper core.  I LOVE the punched out eyes!   This card is seriously quick and easy...but has SO MUCH character to it!

Drew lines to each skull with Copic Multiliner Pen.  SPOOKY COOL!  Then finished off with a strip of Washi Tape from the winter assortment.

Get all the challenge info HERE and see more great dry embossed samples -- PLUS prize info!

All supplies used for this card available from A Muse Studio.

Autumn Leaves

Happy Monday!  Time for our next A Muse Studio Monday Challenge.

This week we want to see Leaf creations.

The other day I posted a card using the new A Muse Studio Autumn Leaves stamp set with Versamark and Pearlscent Shimmer Chalks. (You can see that card here) Today I'm using Nutmeg Pigment ink in place of the Versamark.  You have to work a little faster with the chalks since the pigment ink dries faster than Versamark -- but you will LOVE the results!  Didn't these leaves turn out AWESOME!

I stamped one leaf on Sugar Cardstock that I inked up with both Nutmeg and French Roast Pigment inks - then trimmed out.

Click on the pics to get a closer look at the chalk colors.

Check out the "Leaf" creations our team came up with along with the challenge & PRIZE info. HERE.

Have fun!

Papers - Kraft, Nutmeg, Sugar, Wasabi, French Roast Woodgrain
Inks - Nutmeg & French Roast Pigment

A Muse Studio Twine Challenge

HERE WE GO!  Time for another A Muse Studio Monday Challenge!

It's all about TWINE!
See the wonderful  samples our team came up with along with all the challenge & prize info HERE.

I used A Muse Studio Onyx Twine to tie knots at the end of the sentiment strip.  Sometimes it's the little things on a design that make a big difference.  That big black glittered spider and the embossed web are the main elements...but the dark pieces of twine draw your eyes down to the bottom of the card.

Isn't that web COOL!  It's a NEW impression plate from A Muse. A web on one side....swirls on the other!  You get 2 designs from 1 plate.  GIT-R-DONE!!!!  I used Onyx cardstock and sanded off the raised web impression.  Super easy!

All products on this card available from A Muse Studio.

Recipe:
Stamps - Too Cute to Spook; Swanky Backgrounds
Papers - Orange, Onyx, Kraft, Sugar, Vintage Onyx
Inks - Onyx Pigment Ink, Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black
Misc. - Web/Swirls Impression Plate, Pinking Border Die Set, Big Shot Diecut Machine, Embossing Pad Kit, Simple Stick, Onyx Glitter, Milwaukee Heat Tool, Sanding Block, Circle Scissor Pro, Glass Mat, 1/16" hand punch, Onyx Twine, 3D Foam Adhesive

Open If You Dare!

Happy Monday!

Today over on the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog our challenge is to make your own embellishment.

EVERYONE can do this...if you DARE!

To make my embellishment I used the new A Muse Studio Web Die.

After cutting out the web with onyx cardstock, I smooshed it on my Versamark ink pad and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then...while it was still warm...I sprinkled on more embossing powder and heat it again. This made a nice thick coating on the web. SUPER easy!

A little row of Lime Twinkle Stickers and some bakers twine add the finishing touch.

The spider and sentiment are from a set called If You Dare. It's one of the Spotlight Special Sets on sale right now.

Won't you please join us and share your project...
You could win a prize!

All the details and design team samples are HERE.

All supplies are available from my A Muse Studio website.

Give it a little Dimension

It's Challenge Week #3 over on the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog

This time it's all about Dimension. Foam tape, pop-up folds, glaze, flock, felt, pearls, rhinestones...you get the idea! Anything that makes your card not flat. See samples from the team and get all the challenge & prize details HERE.

I gave my card dimension in several different ways. I embossed the cardbase and label with A Muse Studio Satin Pearl Embossing Powder. Gives the card dimension and texture.

I also added the paper flower and button -- which is tied with some Onyx Twine. The sentiment layer and flower are popped up on 3D foam tape for added dimension.

Isn't that Satin Pearl embossing powder TO.DIE.FOR!!!
I seriously want to embossing EVERYTHING with this stuff!

It would be GREAT if you would join us for this weeks challenge.
