The Witchy Colors of Autumn Groves

Hey Bloggers!  Today is another color challenge over at the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog.  It's also my last challenge project being on the SPARKS Design Team....

LOL!!!!

Well...I'm not really getting kicked out...a new team gets picked every 6 months...and my term ends this month. Are YOU interested in being on the next SPARKS Design Team?  Well you better hurry and apply. The DT call ends on the 18th. That's only a couple days away!  Get all the details HERE.  I will deeply miss being on this team :( All my fellow dt members are completely amazing!!!  I WILL continue to play along with the challenges. They are sooo much fun! I just love coming up with projects to share with everyone using Paper Smooches stamps. I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to my sweet friend Kim for giving me this opportunity to showcase her awesome stamps!  And another HUGE THANK YOU to Savannah for all her support and encouragement.

So let's get on with today's new challenge shall we :)

Here's my creation:
I used the Autumn Groves set from Paper Smooches. To make the tag, I used Distress Inks in Dried Marigold (light orange/peach), Tattered Rose (light salmon/coral), and Shaded Lilac (pale purple).  I stamped the tree, leaves and pumpkin with Colorbox Pigment Ink Lime (lime green). Around the edged of the tag, dp layer and card base I sponged Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy.

The other day I picked up a jar of the new Ranger Rock Candy distress stickles dry glitter so I used it on the leaves and around the edge of the tag.  I love Rock Candy because it doesn't add color...just a clear shimmery sparkle finish.

Now let's see what you come up with for the color challenge.
Get all the details and link up your creations on the SPARKS Blog HERE.

 Yummy colors...right?

Here's my creation:

I used two Paper Smooches sets to make my card - Zoo Crew and Sentiment Sampler.
These zoo animals make me smile....BIG!  I stamped leaves on the card base with Versamark.  All my coloring is done with Copic markers.  The hats and candles have crystal glitter accents.  Hey...it's a birthday card...it HAD to have glitter ;)

Paper Smooches Retro-Fab

Hey Paper Smooches Fans...it's time for another fun Trend Watch Challenge!

Here's a picture go get you thinking...

My first thought when I looked at this picture was the colors of a Classic Retro Diner - black, red, white and a splash of yellow.

I created a "checkered floor" design using a stamp from the Paper Smooches Debonair set. The black high heals sort of represent the bar stools.  For a little touch of "vinyl"  I added a red high heal and then colored it with a clear glaze pen.  The yellow cardstock has a gloss shine to it.

Happy Days!

Make sure to visit the other dt blogs to see the Retro-Fab projects they came up with!

Paper Smooches Halloweenies

I got this done just in time for the Paper Smooches Designer Drafts Challenge.

Here's what I came up with...

Yep...it's time to start playing with Fall and Halloween stamps again!  WOOP WOOP! I used the set called Halloweenies.  So FUN!

I stamped the webs with black ink and shaded with a green Copic Marker.  Then I stamped the webs again with The Essential Glue Pad and covered with Glitter Ritz Black Glitter.

The lines are drawn by hand with a black marker and traced over with a Clear Glaze Pen.  I covered the Spider with Clear Dimensional Glaze.

Making this card got me all fired up to make MORE Halloween goodies! Time to start working on my next Paper Smooches Class!
I CAN'T WAIT to see the new stamp sets being released!!!!!  HURRY UP SEPTEMBER! LOL!

Stop by my blog tomorrow (Monday, August 20th) and for our SPARKS Cool Shades Challenge.  Happy Stamping!

It's time to get outta town!

Are you ready for another great Paper Smooches SPARKS Trend Watch Challenge?  Well then...lets go to our happy place :)

Here's the trendy pic for inspiration:

And my take on it:

I stamped the clouds background on ivory cardstock. Then I stamped the world globe and push pin.  I placed a mask over the globe - then stamped the city skyline and colored with grey Copic marker.

The white clouds and plane are stamped on white cardstock and cut out.  A little piece of washi tape and some fun edge punching and piercing add to the stamped sentiment tag.  I love love LOVE how this turned out!

I hope you find time to join us for the challenge. Go check out all the other great samples from the design team HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Trend Watch is Food Fresh!

Time once again for our Paper Smooches SPARKS Trend Watch Challenge!

I immediately thought of fresh red apples in a basket.

I stamped the Dapper background on a red card base with red ink to create the look of a basket pattern. The tree and birdie - from the Spring Groves set - are stamped on patterned paper, trimmed and paper pieced. The wooden sign - from the Happy Camper set - is stamped on woodgrain cardstock and shaded with Copics.  I used the Alphadots set to stamp "U Pick".

Apples are from the Gently Seasoned set - stamped on red cardstock and shaded just a little with a red marker.  Then I trimmed them out and covered with glaze. The eye on the birdie is also covered with glaze :)

Go check out all the other trendy food fresh designs by our design team over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Blog.  I'm sure you will find a cart full of inspiration!

Picture Perfect Sugar Rush!

Hey Paper Smooches Fans!  Check out this fun Picture Perfect Challenge...

I KNOW!  YUMMY!  Here's my take on it:
The layout is from this weeks Clean and Simple Challenge 176 over on Splitcoaststampers.com.  I used Paper Smooches Potpourri set to stamp the pink diamond background.  The cupcake is from the Sugar Rush set and colored with Copics.  In the closeup pic you can see Diamond Dust sprinkled on top of the frosting.  It's a glass glitter that really looks like chunks of sugar!

The little flag is from the Hang Ups set.  I love all the fun images in that set!  I used a black marker to draw the little stick. Happy Birthday is from the Sentiment Sampler.  I'm super SUPER happy how this turned out! Oh...one last thing...I also created this to enter the Stamp It! Cards Birthday Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  Yet another fantastical place to spend hours looking for inspiration and ideas!

Tomorrow we have another great Trend Watch Challenge over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog.  See you then!
