A mother is...

Love

Good Morning all you House Mouse Fans!! The HM & Friends DT has some AWESOME creations to share with ya!! My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw all these beautiful goodies!!

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #26 - Mothers (Day)
Mothers Day is just around the corner in the UK (don't ask me when...I don't know! LOL) so this weeks challenge is to make something for a mother - or mother related. Just make sure to have at least 1 HM image on your creations. For all the challenge details click HERE.

This stamp is called Bathing Babies - featuring Amanda, Monica & Friends. Since I have 5 kids...I figured this image worked for me :) Letting 5 little ones take a bath all at once...now that there's love I tell ya! LOL

I've been wanting to create something with Kraft cardstock...and this image worked great! It's really fun using light colored pencils...especially white...on darker cs. Then I used white shimmer chalk all around the outside of the image...and anywhere there was water or bubbles. AND...the bubbles have Crystal Glaze on them. Looks really fun IRL!

The sentiments are rub-ons & I hand doodled around the white layers. Main image & sentiment both popped up on dimensionals. Cardbase is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Have a "stampin' fun" week!! YEAAAAYAAA ;)

Just A Little Something

Take Out Box

I made this for my SIL's birthday. She loves to eat out...so I thought it would be really cool to give her money inside a little take out box. TOO DARN CUTE!

I used my Tag Time clear set from A Muse to make the tag. If you don't have this set...it's a MUST! I've used this set in the last couple classes I taught at Stamp Works. Check out how perfect it matches up to my Marvy Tag Punch! Yeaya!! And speaking of punches...have ya seen the new EK Success punches?! Da' Bomb!! That birthday candle border is a new one I just picked up today at Michael's...with a coupon of course ;)

Back to the take out box. I got the template from the SU website here. All I did was print it off on my white cs and cut it out. I punched holes on the sides and put eyelets on. There's also an eyelet on the hole of the tag. The handle is made from black craft wire. I doubled it and loosely twisted it together. The flower was stamped on orange cs and then cut out. In the center of the flower is a Twinkle Sticker.

These little boxes can be used for all sorts of fun stuff. Well folks...I gotta get some shut-eye now...have a great weekend!!

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

Take Time To Smell The Flowers

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #25 - A Sketch
This week we have a sketch by 2 Red Bananas. Not only did they provide the sketch...they are offering a prize...AND...joined in the challenge to share some awesome creations as well! For the sketch - you can flip it, shrink it, rotate it etc. Just make sure to have at least 1 HM image on your creations. For all the challenge details, prize info. and to see the great creations by the Design Team - click HERE.

This sketch works great for some of the larger HM images. I just LOVE this House Mouse Stamp! It's called Take Time To Smell The Flowers and features Muzzy. My card base is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" with a 3" circle mat under the main image.

Coloring is done with Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol. I love how you can blend the colors to create wonderful shading. Can't see on the pic...but I did use a little Clear Spica Glitter Pen here and there on the flowers. The main image was diecut out with a Spellbinders Circle - and the green mat is diecut from Sizzix Circle #1 die. The ribbon is flat across the bottom layer...with the bow being separate and adhered to the bottom of the circle. A little sponging around the light green layer just to soften it up a bit. Those little pink crystals - Swarvoski of course :)

Spring is in the Air

More New A Muse Goodies to Share

Have ya checked out all the new A Muse spring stamps yet? Wellll...just in case you haven't had a chance to take a lookie...I have another card to show ya :)

I used 3 of the new spring stamps on this card - Little Chick, Spring is in the air & Mini Flower . I also used a really cool background stamp called Tin Plate. I'm having so much fun with these new stamps! Spring stuff is always SO CUTE!

I stamped the Mini Flower and traced around it with a black pen. The flower over the "i" was stamped & then cut out. A little dot of glitter in the middle of the flowers...and some green glitter for the grass. Wait wait wait...I also put some of that green glitter on the dots of the background stamp...had to have more spring sparkle :) Speaking of the background glitter...I just noticed some stray glitter right below the knot of the ribbon. oops!! Also...my picture is a little off...the yellow looks softer in real life.

I'm All Ears

"Spring It On"

WOOHOOO!! Make way for some REALLY CUTE stamps from A Muse. These new images are SO versatile - good for any time of year. If you're thinkin' ya don't need new Easter stamps...think again! ha! Enabler Alert - Enabler Alert - Enabler Alert!! OK...you've been warned! LOL Go check out all the new goodies HERE!!

There's 3 new images on my card - Long Grass, All Ears & Mini Flower. Oh...and the notecards are also new! Little Bunny and the Rectangle Frame set work perfect with these new stamps.

I stamped the grass & bunny on watercolor paper with Black StazOn ink. Then...I spritzed the paper with a fine mist of water before coloring. What did I color with? I can't tell ya...it's a secret! NOT! I used Watercolor Crayons & Aqua painters. SUPER easy. Remember...Think Simple. Think A Muse ;)

I think I used SU Barely Banana to stamp the flowers?? lol I tried several yellows till I found one I liked - sometimes that happens...you know...20 ink pads laying all over my stamping area! ha ha Anywho...I used Copic Y38 Honey to dot the middle of the flowers. LOVE IT! Amazing how such a little detail makes it POP! AACKK!! I used the POP word! hee HEE

The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock - then I stamped the frame around it. Worked perfect to get the alignment cause the frame is a clear stamp. Trimmed & attached with dimensionals.

Check out the white Fun Flock on the bunny. Fun stuff!!

Be sure to check out A Muse News and the rest Creative Team for lots of awesome samples using these new stamps. "Spring It On Baby!!"

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

Tall & Thin

No...I'm not talking about ME! LOL I'm talking about this weeks House Mouse & Friends challenge.

So what is Tall & Thin? Easy...just make a card that is taller than normal and thinner than normal. Or make a DL size tall card (don't ask me what that is...I haven't looked it up yet! ha!) The main thing is to have fun making something different this time. Of course you need to have at least 1 HM or Friends image on your card...but the rest is all up to you. For all the challenge details and to check out the tall & thin creations by the Design Team - click HERE.

My picture is posting small...so you really NEED to click on it so you can see it BIG.

I made my card base 3.5" x 8.5" so it will fit in a standard #10 envelope. The HM image is called Tails of True Love - featuring Monica & Maxwell. Isn't it adorable! I stamped on white cardstock & colored with Prismacolor pencils & OMS. The yellow hi-lighting is done with a Copic Y11 Pale Yellow marker. Then...I took a few different shades chalk ink and shaded around the rest of the piece with a sponge dauber.

The hearts are stamped on the reverse side of the patterned paper - then I shaded in using Copics & sponged around the edges with white pigment ink. I cut them out and layered on white cs. After attaching the patterned paper to the base, I stamped mouse prints from the bottom to the top. TOO CUTE! I also sponged chalk ink around the edges of the patterned layer and the brown cs layers. Some A Muse Pink Twinkle Stickers for a little bling...and BAM! ---it's done :)

This HM stamp is called Monica Romances. It's such a sweet little image. "Be Mine" is a stamp from A Muse Art Stamps. Don't they just go perfect together :)

The cardbase on this one is 3.5" x 5". (4-bar) I love making cards this size! This time I colored with Copic markers. Monica was ever so carefully cut out and attached with dimensionals. The heart she is holding I colored over the red with Clear Glaze pen...and added ultra fine crystal glitter around the white area. OH...I also used the Clear Glaze pen on her eye :)

The sentiment is embossed with white EP - then I stuck on the Twinkle Heart Sticker.
