Crafter's Companion Edge'ables Sneak Peek

COMING SOON to Crafter's Companion USA: Edge'ables

I'm super excited about these new dies! I could hardly contain myself waiting for the day I could show a sneak peek. These new Die'sire Edge'ables dies from Crafter's Companion USA are da' BOMB!

I used the new Celebrate Edge'ables Die on this card. The dies are sized perfectly for a standard A2 card. I diecut White Pearl Shimmering Cardstock, trimming it slightly smaller than the card base, and popped up with dimensional foam tape.

To make the graduation hat, I hand-cut pieces from Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock, adding a black brad and tassel made from gold thread. Turned out super cute! (Confession -- It took me a few tries to make the hat. I spend way more time making that the rest of the card. HA!)

On the black card base I used the Burst Stencil with Versamark Ink on a dauber - then embossed with Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder.

Hop on over to the Crafter's Companion Facebook Page to catch a few more sneak peeks this week, along with tons of other fun projects and crafty inspiration. Oh...and the Blog too ;)

Thanks for stoppin' by today!

Congrats for the Graduate

School is almost over...which means graduation time!  Do you need a quick graduation card idea?  Here's one...

I'm pretty sure people love getting fun and unique shaped cards. I know I love making them! :) This card doesn't have a full card front. You just flip up the hat on top and write under it.  The stamps are from Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords set. I stamped "congrats" with black ink and heat embossed with clear ep. The stars are stamped with Delicata Gold Glitz ink. I made the tassel from gold cording and tied it around a shiny black button.

Owl's Well 2011 Graduate

This weeks challenge over on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog is to create a Graduation Project. I decided to make a card using some A Muse Studio stamps from sets that have nothing to do with graduation. Yes...I have all kinds of stamps for making graduation stuff...but what if I didn't?
hummmm....

Check it out:

I made a tiny little grad cap by cutting little pieces of onyx paper...sanded off the edges to expose white for added detail...then finished off with a tiny little black rhinestone on top.

Clean & Simple Graduation

I FINALLY got my CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #2 card done and photographed!
Whew
Well...not in time to link-up on their blog...but I did git-r-done before challenge #3! lol!

The challenge is to use buttons & twine. Since it's graduation time the idea to make a grad cap came to me right away. My daughter's school colors are red, white and blue...so I went with it.

The cap is just a square cut out of A Muse Studio Onyx Shimmer Couture cardstock. Such beautiful paper! And lucky for me...I have black foam pop up dots...so white doesn't show through the button holes. I KNEW I would get some good use out of those things!

Polka Dot Patterns set from A Muse Studio is a must have set! LOVE all those rows of tiny dots all on 1 long stamp. Sentiment from the Brief Notes set stamped in Cobalt Blue ink.

On the inside I created a pocket for a gift card or money. Simple and functional.

That's it. CAS-ual Friday #2 complete. Now...bring on #3!!!! ;)

A huge THANK YOU to my friend "Queen Karolyn" for sharing some of her Divine Twine stash with me. LOVE IT ALL! BTW..she's a "Girl Friday" for CAS-ual Friday's Blog. Go check her out!

Happy Graduation

I found this card template on the Hero Club Blog.

Isn't it cool! And how convenient that I had the perfect cardstock stashed away for "this special project" LOL!!! I knew I would use this paper again. I made something back in 2008 with it....proof is HERE.

The inside is stamped with a new set from A Muse called Happy Everything. It's embossed with silver embossing powder.

Perfect size for a gift card or cash. Super quick and easy...just the way I like it.
