I FINALLY got my CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #2 card done and photographed!
Well...not in time to link-up on their blog...but I did git-r-done before challenge #3! lol!
The challenge is to use buttons & twine. Since it's graduation time the idea to make a grad cap came to me right away. My daughter's school colors are red, white and blue...so I went with it.
The cap is just a square cut out of A Muse Studio Onyx Shimmer Couture cardstock. Such beautiful paper! And lucky for me...I have black foam pop up dots...so white doesn't show through the button holes. I KNEW I would get some good use out of those things!
Polka Dot Patterns set from A Muse Studio is a must have set! LOVE all those rows of tiny dots all on 1 long stamp. Sentiment from the Brief Notes set stamped in Cobalt Blue ink.
On the inside I created a pocket for a gift card or money. Simple and functional.
That's it. CAS-ual Friday #2 complete. Now...bring on #3!!!! ;)
A huge THANK YOU to my friend "Queen Karolyn" for sharing some of her Divine Twine stash with me. LOVE IT ALL! BTW..she's a "Girl Friday" for CAS-ual Friday's Blog. Go check her out!

OH EM GEE!! So stinkin' cute! Love the idea of using the twine to make a tassel for a grad card!! You're too smart for words and I never would have guessed that that was a button - I thought it was a brad. Once again - BRILLIANT!! I'll bugging the crap out of you to get this week's card in on time . . . I'm going to be your worst nightmare! LOL Thanks for playing, sweets!!
I love my Divine Twine! Can't believe you haven't gotten any yet. At first I thought you used the washi tape for the dots. I used it on my card today. That would have been so cosmic
Too darn cute!

FAB idea girlfriend! LOVE this and just may case it very soon!
How adorable is that grad cap!! Great idea and delightfully creative. I'm really enjoying the new challenges at CAS-ual Fridays. Discovered them myself right as their first challenge was ending. Glad you're spreading the word, too. :-)
