Week of Giving Thanks

Hello friends. I'm sure many of you are busy preparing for Thanksgiving festivities. I've got a ton of things to get done in the kitchen. So I'll keep this post short.

Here's a card I made uing a beautiful stamp set from Crafter's Companion USA called Giving Thanks. As part of our "Giving Thanks Week" celebration, you can get his set is FREE with any order that is place this week (Nov 21 - 28) on the Crafter's Companion USA website.
 

I love how my card turned out! I colored with Spectrum Noir Markers:

Flowers - BT1, BT5, BT7
Leaves - CG1, CG2, DG4
Flower Centers & Sentiment - GB4, GB6, GB7, GB9

Then I colored over with Spectrum Sparkle Pens: Clear, Moonlight, Sea Breeze and Soft Jade.
 

Simple hand trimming around the image panel, popped up on note card with dimensional foam adhesive, and finished off with a few rhinestones.

I used Paper Smooches Autumn Groves stamp set.

I added some texture with Straw Speckles from Judi Kins.  FUN STUFF! Also some glitter on the bird and leaves.

Give Thanks

Hey stampers! It's challenge time again over at Fresh Brewed Designs! YAY!

Our challenge theme  is "Pumpkin Patch".

Let's get a Pumpkin Fix shall we :) I decided to go with something more elegant. This Digi Stamp - Give Thanks Pumpkin - from Fresh Brewed Designs is PERFECT with all the leaves and swirls! BONUS...this images comes complete with a handwritten sentiment! I LOVE when sentiments are handwritten. Just makes it more real and personal.

 
Here's a picture that gave me some inspiration:

I colored the pumpkin with White Opal Liquid Pearls. I just squeezed some out my craft mat, dipped my paintbrush in and started painting. I colored the leaves them with Spectrum Noir Markers GB1, GB8 and GB10. Then I painted on some Crackle Accents and topped with Dry Rock Candy Glitter. It really turned out cool! I used GB1 marker to color the entire panel around the pumpkin -- then outlined the pumpkin and sentiment with GG1. I love the Onyx Cardstock from A Muse Studio because it's white on the back...making it the BEST for cards!

I also used a card sketch for the layout of my design. It's SC509 from Splitcoastampers.com.

A Harvest of Memories

Hey blogger friends!

Last weekend I had a BLAST crafting with some of my famous friends.
 LOL! ;)

I actually got a couple cards made! I KNOW!!! MIRACLE!  RIGHT?! Here's proof!

 I used a card sketch from Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge SC457.



Coloring is done with Copic markers, the background is airbrushed and the dress is paper pieced. The stamp set "Li'l Pumpkin" is from My Favorite Things. Soooo adorable and fun to color!

It's not often that all us girls get together to craft for an entire day. So it was definitely "A Harvest of Memories, a Day of Thanks"

I can't wait for the next time we get together!

Autumn Thanks

WOW!  It's been over a week since I posted on my blog! I've been super busy with family life. Sometimes family comes before crafting........

 I KNOW...hard to believe...right?!!!  LOL

 Here's a card I was going to share before Thanksgiving.

The stamps are from Paper Smooches Autumn Groves and Simply Said.  I love my Paper Smooches stamps!  The paper is just some stuff I had in my stash. I was saving it for something "special"  HA! HOARD MUCH??!! You KNOW what I'm talkin' 'bout!  LOL!!!

I used a set from Paper Smooches called My Peeps.  If you need a fun stamp set full of birds...THIS is the set! I sprinkled some Judi Kins Straw Speckles on the ground. FUN!  Did you notice the "shifty eye" LOL! Paper Smooches sells them in a set of doohickies called Jazzie Accents. Can't ever have enough doohickies...right?

This is a card I taught in my A Muse Fall Classic Holidays class.



The pumpkins have Rock Candy Distress Stickles on them. Looks so cool with the clear vintage shimmer. The nice thing about Rock Candy Stickles is you can dry it right away with your heat tool! Don't have to wait for it to dry!
