More Christmas Goodies

Here are more pics of gifts. All the ornaments had special matching boxes, but I didn't take pics of them all. I think everyone liked what they received.

Some of my goodies

Chipboard Fun

Here is 1 of several Christmas Wall Hangings I made for gifts. This one was for my sister-in-law. I will post pics of the others in the days ahead. Naturally....these are way cuter in person! Click on the pics to get a closer look :)

Recipe:
Scalloped Coaster Chipboard pieces from Unique Pages http://www.uniquepages.net/ were covered with paper from Basic Grey Figgy Pudding collection. I was able to die cut the paper at a local scrapbook store that has an Accucut die that works for these coasters. The paper is pasted down to the chipboard with YES! paste. I then sanded the edges and inked with a brown chalk ink. 4" square of brown cardstock under a 3 1/2" white cardstock. Doodle lines are hand drawn with a Micron Marker. The letters were traced from chipboard letters from http://www.uniquepages.net/ and cut out. I also used chalk ink on the edges of the letters and some Alabaster Colorbox Chalk was dabbed on with a sponge for a little snow effect. Letters are attached with dimensionals. The trees and snowman were cut from the patterned paper and glued down. Snowflake Brads are attached with Red Sticky Strip - but I first cut off the underside part of the brads that fold under. Blue Robins Nest Dew Drops are attached with glue dots. I used a Crop-a-dile to punch holes and put the pieced together with wire. Added a couple ribbon accents to finish off.

Turned out totally cute!! I wanted to keep it for myself :)

Just another day in paradise

I've been keeping myself entertained in my craft room with all the holiday "stuff" that I am making...and want to make. It's pure paradise sitting in there playing. You know....stamps, ink, brads, scissors, paper etc. etc. etc. Fun fun fun! I don't care if I don't finish everything...it's just fun playing and that's good enough for me :)

I keep finding more cool stuff posted on blogs & Splitcoaststampers! Yikes!!! Where to stop!! Between that and magazines and scrapbook store displays I'm in "Paper Paradise" for sure!

Here is a quick snapshot of my little spot in paradise with my work in progress.

ahhh....what a peaceful place to be :)

Having fun fun fun!!

Where do I start?

I have been watching all of you out there in blogger land posting all your great projects! My brain is full of ideas already......and then I see more awesome ideas from all of you!! My craft room is full stuff to make. Talk about FUN!!

I want to post pics of some of my projects -- but I can't share everything because some are gifts and I don't want to spoil the surprise! So here are a few things that I have been doing........

Clipboards
I made some covered clipboards for the first time. They are for teachers at Michaela's school. All the teachers are getting one. Here are the 4 that I made. The pics are a tad fuzzy because I turned off the flash.

I didn't use Mod Podge. I used YES paste to glue down the paper. Then I applied several coats of Matte spray sealer from Rust-oleum. You can't really see it very good...but I did add some rhinestones on the upper corners and some decorative paperclips in with the ribbons. The beach clipboard has seashells glued down and dangled. I like the way they turned out!

Christmas Ornaments
Another project I'm currently working on is glass ornaments. This idea came from Splitcoaststampers. Click here for details. These are SO MUCH CUTER in real life! They are really hard to photograph because of the glass - and you can't really see the sparkly effects. Stamping on the transparency sheet with Stazon is easy - but the coloring is challenging. You can only use markers like Sharpie or Slick Writers - so the colors are limited. The white embossing on the back is where I usually mess up. I won't bore you with all those details. I will just say if you are going to make these - follow the instructions carefully!

This Snowman Ornament was made by Michaela! Pretty darn good for a 6 year old!

AND MORE TO COME!

**note** I don't know what I did different on this post that when you click the pictures it is asking if I want to open or save the file?? All the other pics I have posted just open the pic bigger in a new window. I'll figure this out later cause right now it's time to get Michaela off to bed :)
