I made this for Bella Sketch Challenge 28 on Splitcoaststampers.

I love how this card just "feels" cool and fresh with Bella in these colors. Stampin'UP River Rock Double-Sided Designer Paper is awesome! I wish I had all the colors of that stuff. Oh what I could do with all those colors! ha ha ha. OK....I can dream right?!

For the ground and water I just picked up ink color from the ink pad lids with my Blender Pen and colored with it. All layers of main image attached with dimensional. Flowers punched from Blue Bayou and Dew Drop attached to middle with Crystal Effects.

Recipe: Stamps: Stamping Bella Staceyfishabella and Sentiment.
Paper: GP White Cardstock; SU River Rock Double-Sided Designer Paper; SU River Rock and Blue Bayou Cardstock.

Michaela's First Color Challenge

Our Saturday Evening Stamping Party

The last time I did a card challenge, Michaela (my 7 year old baby) said she would like to give it a try. Well naturally I'm excited to have her join the fun! So I set her and I up to do a Color Challenge from the Bella Forum on Splitcoaststampers. The colors to use were any shades of Yellow, Orange and a Neutral. I let Michaela read the post in the forum so she knew what the rules were. I showed her pics that were already posted in the gallery so she could see samples. She even left a comment on one :) Let the Party Begin!!

Michaela went for the bright colors.

She decided to use Watercolor Pencils. That was good...until she said she wanted to stamp Bella on this cheap yellow cardstock. This is where I had to let it go (breath in through the nose..and out through the mouth) and let her experiment. I knew what would happen with a 7 year old using a BLENDER PEN on cheap cardstock! HELLO! When Michaela started blending Bellas hair, she learned pretty fast that you can't blend much at all on this cheap stuff. Bella looked like she had a really bad hair day! The moisture chews up the paper...leaving a nice fuzzy mess. She stamped the Bellas again (yes...on the SAME yellow cs) and gave it another try. She wasn't able to blend the color as much as she would have liked, but she accomplished her goal of having these Bellas on this yellow paper. She also used a Basic Black marker and Copic Spica Glitter Pens all over for that girly sparkle that we all know is necessary :) She was really happy with her card and totally excited to get it POSTED! ha!

Am I boring you yet? LOL

Now for my card. Step aside and let a pro show you how it's done. Yeah....RIGHT!! Read on...

I started out doing the same image as Michaela (on good white cs). I had it stamped and all colored in. But all I could think about was Halloween! My Bellas looked like 3 freaks dressed up as candy corns!! It was BAD! This is where "I" had to let it go (again - breath in through the nose..and out through the mouth) and toss my....ummm...masterpiece aside. Second try - I picked HuggyBellas and went with softer shades. Of course Michaela was now DONE with her card...now watching me attempt to figure out what I was gonna do. Go figure! HA! I ended up putting Michaela down for the night and coming back later to finish up my card - like a true pro! LOL

The most important part of our little stamp party was being together. Michaela got to learn a few new things from mom (the pro)...hummm...and I got to enjoy watching my baby use her creativity. Now I look at my card and see it was meant to be....Huggybellas. Michaela LOVES to hug. Michaela is my Huggybella. We are Huggybellas. It's perfect :)

Recipe:
Stamps:
Stamping Bella - Huggybellas, not so bored, need a hug?
Paper: SU Apricot Appeal, Barely Banana and Whisper White CS; Bazzill Textured CS- Brown.
Ink: SU Classic Ink - Basic Brown , SU Markers - Apricot Appeal and Barely Banana; Versamark Marker; Copic Marker - Skin White.
Misc: Copic Spica Glitter Pen - Clear; SU Crystal Effects;
Robins Nest Dew Drops; SU Oval Punches; SU Dimensionals.
Techniques: Paper Piecing done on the dress and shirt.

Bella Bella Bella Dancerella

Bella TV Pop Star!

So what am I talking about?? LOL!! Whenever I stamp with my Bella stamps I think of my daughter's DVD Bella Dancerella Dance Party. I get the song from the DVD stuck in my head! Ok...on to the card...

How about some stamping Bella to Cheer ya up?

This card really does Cheer Me Up! I made this for a Bella Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Michaela likes Bella stamps...but not as much as I thought she would. She said it's because they don't have hands! LOL Of course this Bella you don't see her hands...so I'm thinking Michaela will be ok with this one :)

I love the sparkly glitter sprinkled on the pom poms, flower and "!" on sentiment. Gotta have that sparkly stuff! If you click on the closeup pic, you can see I put Spica Clear Glitter Pen on her hair ribbons, eyelashes, shoes and a little here & there on her outfit. The main image and sentiment are attached with Dimensionals.

Recipe:
Stamps -Stamping Bella Pompomabella, you cheer me up.
Inks - Ranger Adirondack - Pitch Black; CTMH - Hollyhock; Copic Marker - Skin White; Prismacolor Markers - Aquamarine, Magenta, Light Tan, Deco Pink, Warm Grey 20%

I'm Seeing Spots

Bella Birthday Spots!

I made a couple cards last night. I had already stamped and colord these Bellas a few days back but just finally got around to putting them on a card. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella.

This one I did for Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge - SC170. Go on over there and check out all the great cards everyone has done. Maybe you will want to make one too :)

Recipe: I used Groovy Guava Designer Paper, Certainly Celery and Whisper White Cardstock from Stampin'UP!; Bazzill Bling Purple Cardstock. Stamping done with Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black. Colored with Prismacolor markers and Copic Marker for her skin. 2-way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds to add lots of sparkle. Tacky Tape down the middle of the present and then more Glitter. Cutting her out was a challenge...I don't know if I'll do that again. I attached her flat on the purple strip, but had to put teeny tiny little strips of foam dimension under her feet and legs to keep them up. The purple layer is upon Dimensionals. The Brads are from Bazzill. The layer with the flower from Bazzill is flat. Stampin'UP! silver cording wrapped around the button and the layer. I also used 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on the dots of that layer.

This next card I think turned out really cute! When I found this dotted paper I knew it would work perfect with this Bella. The paper is from Paper Salon by Karen Neuburger - hip-hip-horray: mini dots collection. It's a nice thick double-sided paper...more like cardstock. The back side is the very pale moss green color that I used to layer under Bella.

Recipe: Cardbase is Stampin'UP! Whisper White Cardstock. Purple is Bazzill Bling Cardstock and Patterned paper is from Paper Salon. Stamping done with Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black. Colored with Prismacolor markers and Copic marker for her skin. I embossed Happy Birthday with Clear Ultrafine Matte powder from B & J's Art Stamps. Robins Nest Dew Drops attached with Crystal Effects. Main purple layer is up on Dimensionals.

Bella Style

BIRTHDAY BELLAS

This was a fun card to make. I really needed to make something that had LOTS of sparkle...and these Bella stamps were just perfect for that. Bella stamps are so fun and easy to create with! I was just looking at the Stamping Bella website...and I see there are a few new stamps! One that caught my eye is called lattebella. I think I "need" that one :)

You really need to click on the pictures to see all the glitter and sparkle up close!

Go ahead.....click.....you know you want to! LOL

The main image is called shopabella. The stamp on the cardbase
is called not so bored border. The sentiment stamp - wishing you a birthday - is actually 1 stamp. I stamped the first line on the front and then by hand added the 3 little dots. Stamped the other 2 lines on the inside and also added the 3 little dots.

Here's a couple closeups of the main image.

This is the back of the card. Stamp is called cardbackabella. Really cute bella with her rolling craft tote in one hand and a stamp in the other!

Recipe:
Stamps from Stamping Bella - not so bored border; shopabella; wishing you a birthday; cardbackabella. Hand Stamped Original stamp from MSE! My Sentiments Exactly. Cardstock from Stampin'UP! is Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Black is from Bazzill. Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black ink for stamping. Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol for coloring. Copic Marker for coloring skin and the ground shading (E00 Skin White and C1 Cool Grey No. 1) I added some dots on a couple of the purses with a black marker and also made the wasteband on 2 of the girls thicker with black colored pencil. 2-way Glue Pen and Art Glitter for lots of sparkle. Spica Clear Glitter Pen in the hair. Lavender Stickles on card base background. Robins Nest Dew Drops attached with SU Glue Dots. Main image layer is popped up on dimensionals.

Jealous Again!

Cheery Colors & Secret Technique

I made this card a few days ago, but I didn't want to post it until the new owner received it. Happy Birthday Blair!

Well....I did e-mail a picture of the card to my daughter so she could drool. Yep....that's right....I caused another "gotta have that stamp" moment :) Here's what Alisha had to say back to her favorite mom "That turned out soooo cute. I'm jealous:) Did you stitch around the edge or is that a stamp?"

LOL....silly girl....come over and play if you want to know moms secrets! Alisha is always trying to get me to come over to her house and stamp. I'm always trying to get her to come over to my house to stamp. But usually what happens is we go shopping and buy more stamps! We talk about building homes next to each other and having a craft room in the middle so we can keep all our stuff together and share! Now that would be cool!!

Here's the scoop on the card....
The inspiration for this card started with a Splitcoaststampers DTGD '07 Challenge -- which was to use Cheery Colors. The bird stamp is from Penny Black. The saying is from Stamping Bella. Chicken wire stamp is from Inky Antics. I also used stamps from Stampin'UP! Best of Cluck set. Colors I used are from SU - Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Glorious Green, Very Vanilla. River Rock ink for the ground using Skinny Oval stamp from A Muse Artstamps and Sahara Sand marker to highlight the sand on the ground. I also used both Tag Punches from SU. Paper Piercing & Faux Stitching with black marker (there's moms secret Alisha!) Edge Distressing and Black ink around the edges of a couple pieces to make them stand out. The tag is on Dimensionals. SU Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Brads & Eyelets, Marvy Uchida Scalloped Circle Punch with hand doodling around the edges.

OK Alisha...come on over and play!

A New Dress for my New Purse!

Girlie Stuff & Sparkles

I actually started making these cards before I made the Pretty Purse & Wallet. But....after finishing the purse I remembered that I had started making cards with the dress stamp. Well, I HAD to finish the dress...after all...a girl has to have a purse AND a dress! :)

Accessorizing this dress was really fun - like playing dress-up!! Colors, glitters, flowers, ribbons, buttons, bows, satin, velvet......what choices! I think I will make one of everything! LOL :) Just like shopping...if you can't decide...get them all.

Of course we had to have some yummy cake with all the trimmings.

Recipe:
Silhouette Dress, Cake, Flower Background stamps from Great Impressions; Saw It, Loved It, Bought It stamp from Bella; Happiness stamp and Paper from Stampin' UP!; Craft and Classic Inks and Markers from Stampin' UP!; Flower from Prima; Stickles Glitter Glue.

The solid brown dress was stamped using pigment ink and embossed with clear - then cut out. The flower dress was stamped and cut out. Then I used an embossing pen to line the top edge and embossed with clear. The bottom of the dress velum stamped and embossed with clear - then cut out. Markers were used on the back to color flowers. I cut out white paper and put under the velum. Markers were also used to color the cake.

What about Bellas? Haven't you got a Bella yet? Well...OK...I guess I need one of those too! How could I resist the Stacyfisabella since I have been making fish stuff for Father's Day! LOL. So that was easy to pick and the 2 sayings to go with it - "Wish Big" and "Worm Wishes."
