WHAT? KISS an EGG!!!
Actually.....it's how to kiss a RUBBER EGG!
What I'm really talking about is what stampers call the "Kissing" technique. It's a super fun technique that uses a stamp-on-stamp action to make a pattern on a solid rubber stamp. Background stamps work perfect for this. However...just about any patterned stamps can give you fantastic results!
Now...about the "kissing the rubber egg" thing...
For my card I used a stamp set from A Muse Studio called egg-stravaganza. I made the eggs into balloons!!! Clever if I do say so myself!
I inked up the solid egg...then "kissed" it with the patterned egg stamp. That removes some of the ink from the solid egg...creating a mirror image of the design. Next...stamp the solid "kissed" stamp on Sugar cardstock. Trim around the eggs to look like balloons...tie on some twine...BAM! EGG BALLOONS!
LOVE IT!
And you thought these were only for Easter....
Wanna see a video how to do the background kissing technique?
Give it up for Julie Ebersol!!!
