Learning to Ice Skate

Here's another card I designed using stamps from Eat Cake Graphics.

The stamps I used are Lucy’s learning to skate, Tiny Tree with dots and Snow dots.
I colored with Spectrum Noir Markers:

  • Skin - FS2, FS3, CR2
  • Hair - GB1
  • Red areas - CR8
  • Scarf and Hat - BT1, BT3, BT4
  • Pants, gloves - IG4, IG2
  • Shading on skates and jacket - IG1

To make the "ice" for Lucy to skate on, I used a VersaMark marker and embossed with clear ep. I masked off the image and stamped the trees and snow dots with light grey ink. Some glitter accents under the trees and on snow dots give a nice sparkle finish.

Visit the Eat Cake Graphics Sprinkling of Samples Blog to see this and MANY MANY more great Christmas card ideas.

Happy Stamping!

It's beginnig to look a lot like Christmas

Yep! Christmas is in the air! So get ready...because during the next couple weeks, I'll be plastering Christmas and Winter card & projects on my blog and other on-line galleries. You've been warned ;)

Here's a card I did using this weeks Card Sketch SC517 over on Splitcoaststampers.com

I just LOVE these stamps from Eat Cake Graphics! And the little figure skater...HELLO!!! Perfect! The stamp is called Lucy's Learning to Skate. The sentiment is called Look a lot like Christmas. The font on this sentiment is so cute..and perfect for this image! Eat Cake Graphics has a bunch of other great sentiment and quote stamps! Go ahead...treat yourself...I did ;) Shop HERE.

Here's the Spectrum Noir Markers I used to color with:

  • Skin - FS2, FS3, CR2
  • Hair - GB1
  • Hat, gloves, scarf and center of flower - CR8
  • Jacket and flower - BT1, BT3, BT4
  • Pants, jacket buttons and hair ties - IG4, IG10
  • Shading on skates - IG1

I fussy cut her out, added red sparkly flocking and attached to card front with dimensional foam adhesive. The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed. I filled in the tiny snowballs with a white gel pen. The three little white snowflakes were diecut from Poppystamps Christmas Baubles die set.

OK folks...I'm outta here! Gonna go create more fun Christmas projects.
