All that glitters is snow

I've got another card design using the New Crafter's Companion Die'sire Christmas Create-A-Card Die - Over the Rooftops. Remember the card I posted yesterday? (click here) It had white die-cut stars on it.  Well...this is the Shimmering Pearl White Cardstock panel that those stars were cut from.

Once again, I sponged on Golden Glitz Delicata Ink by using the die as a stencil. This time I sponged the ink much heavier so there was a lot of gold on the designs. Then I embossed with clear embossing powder. The gold looks so good on the Shimmering Pearl White cardtstock.

I made this into a shaker card - filled with faux snow and silver & gold star confetti. It's really fun because you can see the shaker goodies peeking through all the cutout areas. Isn't this a fun idea!?!

The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Vintage Christmas Collection - Let it Snow stamp set. I stamped it with the gold ink and heat embossed. Some glitter, pearls and gold threads add to the elegant style of the card.

It's so hard to capture a picture that shows how beautiful the Shimmering Cardstock is. Hopefully you can see enough in the closeup pic to get an idea of what it looks like. I know you are gonna love it all! And you will have so much fun creating with these new Create-A-Card Dies too!

Here's a card I made using the NEW Die'sire Create-A-Card Die called Over the Rooftops

I absolutely LOVE how easy it was to make this stunning 6" x6" Christmas card!

You can see in the closeup pic just how beautiful the die details are. I used Crafter's Companion 6" x 6" Shimmering Cardstock in 3 colors - Candy Red, Gold Dust and Pearl White. Seriously...I can't say enough about how much I LOVE this cardstock. As you can see...I stamped a sentiment from Vintage Christmas Collection - Seasons Greetings stamp set and embossed it on the red perfectly!  Look at the beautiful embossed shimmer of the Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. I sponged the gold ink lightly -- not trying to get ALL the embossed die details. I  also sponged the gold ink around the outer edges too. Then I heat embossed clear over the top of the gold ink. 

 
I HIGHLY recommend Crafter's Companion Shimmering Cardstock. It comes in 6"x"6 and 8"x8" packs.

Card Steps:

1. Die-cut Over the Rooftops with 6"x6"Gold Dust Cardstock. Remove all pieces from the die.
2. Place the die back over the Gold Dust die-cut piece and sponge on Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.
3. Carefully remove the cardstock from the die - making sure not to smear the ink. Sprinkle on Clear Embossing Powder and heat emboss with embossing gun.
4. Adhere die-cut panel to 6" x 6" Candy Red Shimmering Cardstock.
5. Prep the cardstock area where you will be stamping the sentiment with anti-static powder. This will keep any stray bits of white embossing powder from sticking where you don't want it.
6. Stamp sentiment with Versamark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat emboss.
7. Adhere entire panel to 6"x6" top-folded note card.
8. Diecut Over the Rooftops die with Pearl White Shimmering Cardstock. Adhere a few of the die-cut stars to your card. TIP: You can die-cut an entire panel of the Pearl White Cardstock - saving the panel and save all the extra pieces for additional card designs. Or - use a few smaller scrap pieces of the Pearl White cardstock and die-cut only the stars you will need for your card.
9. Tie ribbon around card. Add on a gold jingle bell with gold elastic cording.
10. Adhere red rhinestone to deer's nose.
