***More details about the hop and prizes at the bottom of this post.
Here's one of the cards I made for the HSN show using the Orchids Stamp set, which is one of the stamp sets that Sara will be featuring.
As much as I love coloring everything in vibrant shades, I decided to capture a more natural, soft looking design. The orchids are stamped and colored with Spectrum Noir Markers.
Marker Colors:
Flowers Petals - DG1, CG1, DG2, DG3, Blender
Flower Centers - CT1, GB3, CR7
Stems - DG3, CG2, DG1
I also stamped the image 2 more times to color and cut out a few of the pieces to pop up for dimension. Some of the leaves I cut down the toward the centers, following the stamp line and then curled them a bit.
For some shimmer and sparkle, I painted on Sheer Shimmer Spritz and added some orange colored glitter.
The textured grid insert was done with an embossing folder that came with my Cut N Boss Machine. I ran it through with white cardstock, inked direct from pad to paper with Memento Luxe Pear Tart, then sprayed on some Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Beautiful shimmer in real life!
The white cardbase is 6" x 6". I used the square diecut from the Elegance Stamping Frame Die Set to cut the center. Then the grid panel is adhered flat on the inside front of the card. Again, I used the Elegance Stamping Frame to cut and embossed from apricot cardstock -- also die cutting the center with the square. The frame is popped up with foam adhesive. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of sage cardstock that I die-cut and embossed from the Classiques Circles Set. It's adhered flat. A few gemstones added the extra touch of interest.
I decorated the inside of the card using some of the scrap pieces. Ahhhh...saved from the trash can! LOL
Don't forget to watch Sara on the Home Shopping Network July 1st. Fun stuff will be happening all day long during the 24-hour Day of Crafts Event.
