DIY Designer Paper

DIY with Spectrum Noir Markers
Last week I shared a project featuring a DIY Background using Spectrum Noir Markers. You can see that post HERE. Today I have DIY Designer Paper. So SWEET! :)

To create this yummy cherry DIY DP -- I first treated the red cardstock panel with anti-static powder (Embossing Magic Bag) to help keep stray bits of white embossing powder from stickin' where they don't belong. Next, I stamped and embossed the cherries -- then colored them with a red Spectrum Noir Marker that was a shade darker than my cardstock.

TIP: When coloring with markers around anything embossed...avoid touching the marker tip on the raised embossed areas. The alcohol in the marker will start to dissolve the embossing powder and it could ruin the marker tip.

I colored the cake and liner with GB1 and GB7 markers. The cherry is colored with CR3, CR9 and DR4 -- and covered with glaze. I painted Clear Wink of Stella on the frosting and edged it with glitter.

It always amazes me how you can take simple images --- a couple markers -- and create an amazing piece of artwork! Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure to check out all the goodies we have to share over on the Spectrum Noir Blog -- and Facebook Page!

Have a sweet day!
