Our very talented Pat came up with our challenge. Create a project using the Faux Grid technique. For all the challenge details and to see the AMAZING samples created by our design team click HERE. YOU GOTTA GO CHECK OUT THE DT CARDS! WOW!!!!
Here are a few tutorials on how do this technique:

Pretty cool how the grid turned out. All my coloring is done with Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol....even inside each grid square. A few of the squares I masked around then stamped part of a background image. (Inkadinkado 90564 x) The 1-line sentiment is stamped, then cut into 2 small pieces, ink'd the edges and adhered.
About the sentiment. I asked my 9 year old daughter Michaela where she thought I should put it. She wanted it right above the image...so that's where it went :) Sometimes I ask her to look at my creations and give me input. One time she said "I ask you what you think I should do on my stuff...and you always tell me do whatever I like....so why should I tell you what to do?"
Uh...... well....... hummm..... ummmm So THIS time when she told me her idea I DID IT!
Thanks Michaela!!
Hope you have a chance to play around with our FAUX Grid Challenge!

super cute, Lori... I love that image, wonderful colouring.. I like how you stamped on some of the squares, like the button embellishments and of course the sentiment placement is perfect....
hugs... Pat
Oh Lori, this is so cute!!! One of my favourite images (so beautifully coloured) and I love the texture you've created on some of the squares. Michaela was right the sentiment needed 'center stage' and your buttons and corners finish it perfectly.
hugs Heather xx
