The Bear Balloon stamp is also from Eat Cake Graphics. Isn't it adorable?! I made this card for this months "Anything Goes Challenge" over at Spectrum Noir.
The images are stamped with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Cardstock. I stamped with Distress Ink because I wanted the lines of the image to blend out a bit as I watercolored. There were some areas of the stamped images that ended up blending out too much. To fix that, I waited for the area to dry, then used the fine tip end of the Aqua Markers to draw the lines back in. That a GREAT feature of the Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers!
I colored with these Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers:
- Bear - Chestnut
- Shirt and Hat - Moss
- Hat dots and Balloon - Amber
- Background - Teal
- Ground - Slate
The Party hat with dots is a stamp from Eat Cake Graphics. It's one of those little "must have accessory stamps." For some bling and shimmer, I painted over the balloon and top of the party hat with Clear Wink of Stella. Clear sequins always add that extra bit of festivity to a design.
How about YOU play along with our "Anything Goes Challenge" this month at Spectrum Noir. We love seeing your creations. Plus, you could win a prize!
Visit the Eat Cake Graphics Webstore to see all the adorably fun "bear" stamps - and all the other great whimsical stamps designed by Holly Mabutas.
Holly not only designs her stamps, she also manufactures them! Isn't that amazing?! The stamps are pressed in her garage, one at a time as they are ordered.
