Make hay while the sun shines

The sun is shining...and it's a beautiful day to make hay! LOL

Have you seen the NEW Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners line of goodies over at Crafter's Companion?  Check it out HERE. AND...have you seen the NEW Spectrum Aqua Markers from Spectrum Noir? They are available NOW over at Crafter's Companion USA!!! Check them out HERE.

I used the new Fields of Gold stamp set along with the new Country Fence Die and Daisy Border Die. All colored with the new Spectrum Aqua Markers! FUN STUFF!

I did this card a bit different. The image is stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder on vellum. Then I watercolored using the markers and watercolor brush. I also used the fine tip end of the markers in a few areas to add a bit more intense color in some areas.  When everything was dry, I put the piece, between 2 pieced of clean scratch paper, then ironed it to flatten it out. What ended up happening -- in addition to flattening the paper -- some of the embossing powder came off...and some flattened out. It was a happy surprise!  I love it! Then I adhered the entire vellum piece to textured black cardstock. It really looks and feels really cool in real life!

For the die-cutting, I cut and embossed - then sponged on ink color with distress inks and blending foams. I covered the wooden hearts with Picket Fence Distress paint and Clear Rock Candy Stickles.
The flowers on the diecut border are colored with the markers.
