House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge
Hey all you House Mouse Lovers!!!! Time for another challenge :)
House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge # 55 - Aperture
Heather came up with this weeks challenge. Create a card with an Aperture (a hole, opening, door, window, etc.) Totally fun! We also have a sponser this week...and you know what that means...a prize! Get all the details HERE.
OK OK OK....YES...I have ANOTHER Halloween card! I can't help it! They are just toooooo darn cute! And besides...I'm getting good use out of all the stamps on the Halloween Clear Set :) Plus I got to use my new Martha Stewart Fence Border Punch! Isn't it perfect for this! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

All the white areas of the patterned paper on the front I added Ultrafine Crystal Glitter. Super sparkly!
See what's inside :)

BOO! is also a stamp from the Halloween Clear Set.
I glittered up the cheese and pumpkin. The pumpkin is popped up on dimensionals and filed with little orange Twinkle Stickers from A Muse. There's also a little clear glaze pen on his nose :)

The next challenge is November 9th -- so I guess this will be my last Halloween House Mouse card till next year. You can always check out the Halloween HM stuff I made last year HERE & HERE. ;)

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge
It's time for a House Mouse Challenge!
House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #54 - Movies
Our challenge this week is by Stacy. Create a card using a movie title as your inspiration. And guess what -- there's a prize this week! Not just ANY prize...but a prize from House Mouse Designs!! Yep...the Official House Mouse & Friends Website! GIT-ER-DONE!!!! Challenge and prize details HERE.
My card is based on the movie It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. A classic for this time of year.

My card base is a template that I cut freehand. It's hinged at the stem. I drew a separate template for the leaf. Shading is done with Colorbox Chalk Cats Eye Ink Pads. I just swiped them directly on the cardstock. I LOVE how it turned out! And that fun beaded wire stuff is so cool! Can't tell you what brand it is...cause I bought from a store that went out of business like 4 years ago. The sentiment is embossed.
I used some of the newly released colors of Shimmerz paints on Mudpie's pumpkin costume. You can see in the closeup where I painted with it. There's actually 3 colors on there. Wed Wagon is on the darkest areas of the pumpkin, Golden Wheat on the rest. The stem is painted with Mossy Stone.

Hope you find some stamping time to do the challenge. Remember....you now have 2 weeks.
FYI - Today is the last day to submit for our Design Team Call. Details HERE.
Sad news :( Stacy and Carolyn have decided to leave the design team. They have both been with us since the beginning of the HM & Friends Challenge Blog. We are sure going to miss them!

Simply Boo-tiful
Here's one of projects from my A Muse Simple Boo-tiful class.
This card features the new Pumpkin Mouse and BOO! sentiment from A Muse. That fluffy stuff under the pumpkin is Bright Orange Flower Soft with Duck Tail Ultrafine Pearlescent Glitter from Art Glitter sprinkled in for sparkle. The pumpkin is glittered up too :) The leaves and flowers on the vines are covered with Ultrafine Opaque Black Glitter. EVERYBODY needs black glitter! The other 4 class projects included a treat bag, tag pocket, covered chipboard decoration and a calendar for October.
Did ya know I have a blog that is just for my classes & events? Yep...it's right HERE. Be on the lookout for more Holiday classes. If you don't live in my neck of the woods - click HERE to see if there's an A Muse Instructor teaching classes in your area.

Totally Wicked
A Muse Halloween Classes
I'm done teaching my Halloween classes with all the newly released A Muse Halloween stamps and supplies. I had so much fun designing these cards and projects...but even more fun teaching them. Oh yeah baby!!!
Would you like to see one of the cards from my Totally Wicked class?
Of course you would! LOL ;)
Not everyone gets into making cards and decorations for Halloween - but that shouldn't stop you from attending classes. The techniques and layouts can be used for all sorts of other seasons or celebrations. For instance -- my MONDO Tarantula pop-up card you could use a snowman on the inside with snowflakes stamped for the background. There are so many possibilities. This spider might be perfect for a boys birthday -- just stamp Happy Birthday on the inside in place of Happy Halloween. Git-er-done!

The giant spider is covered with Black Fun Flock! HOW COOL IS THAT!!! In class I let them choose between plain Black Flock and Black Sparkly Fluff. I think everyone went with the Sparkly flock :)
That giant spider is a Tarantula Punch from EK Success. It's about impossible to find because they are sold out everywhere. Good news...if you act fast...the store I teach at just got a few in stock. If you want one you better call Stamp Works right away!

World Card Making Day 2009
Happy WCMD!!
Just a quick post to share what I did today for World Card Making Day. Since I love making cards (yes...shocker!!) it was a must that I make cards today. So I took a road trip and celebrated this big day in Anthem Arizona at Scrapbooks to Remember. They had a wonderful class taught by Kim Hughes, Paper Crafts Magazine "Go-To-Gal."
We made 3 adorable cards using products by Cosmo Cricket, American Crafts, & October afternoon.
I totally enjoyed "taking" a class and not teaching it for a change :)
Now...time to go relax and watch a movie.
