Are you up for a challenge?

Something exciting is going on RIGHT NOW over at SplitcoastStampers! It's called "Dare to Get Dirty '07"'s a 3 year celebration for the Splitcoast Fan Club. Read more about it here.

I finally posted something today for one of the challenges that was on day 1 -- which was Wednesday (I'm hiding under my desk now! LOL) This challenge was to create a card that's either For a Pet, From a Pet, or Of a Pet. This was GREAT!! I finally have inspiration to use my new Cat Portraits stamp set from Hero Arts! I used Bling Cardstock from Brazzill for the card base. The cats are popped up off the card. It's hard to see but I edged them in Silver ink. Cats are colored with my wonderful Prisma colored pencils & Gamsol. The inside of the card says "Have a Purrfect Birthday"

And I had to get approval from "Kitty" -- so I went outside and called her to come up and take a look. She loved it - of course! Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of a cat and a card? This was really difficult! Kitty kept rubbing up against the card and then me and then back to the card and then back to me.

Long story short on Kitty - I don't have a cat. Yeah...I know what you're thinking...she has ME! Well, that's true - but - Kitty is actually NOT our cat. She belonged to someone in our neighborhood and they up and moved without her. :( Kitty came to our house quite often. And being the animal lovers we are...we gave her something to eat. Yup, hubby went and bought kitty food. I'm sure that's why she came around so much. Then one of my friends in the neighborhood told us the story about Kitty and we didn't feel so bad about feeding someones pet. She is the sweetest thing. We call her Kitty -- but my friend said they call her Boots. I think she has several families around here and several names. But she loves us the best :)

Well, I better start thinking about the next Dirty Challenge I want to take on! Check back for something new!
