One of the Specials going on is 20% OFF Bebunni Floral Dies. Here's some fun tags I created using the Bebunni Floral Collection Birthday Present Die.

Another items that's on special is the Shimmering Cardstock. I LOVE that stuff! Get two 6"x6" or 8"x8" packs for $10! It's a DEAL! I totally recommend Black. You can't go wrong with that. Get one of each size If you can't decide. Look at he beautiful shimmer - and it die-cuts and embosses awesome.

The designer patterned paper is from the Elegance Card Pack. I only needed little scraps for all the die-cut pieces.

I cut out several presents of each of the cardstocks, then trimmed apart and paper pieced. You could make up a bunch and have them handy for quick gift wrapping needs.

The sentiments are from various Bebunni Floral Collection Stamp Sets. I love the fonts!

Flying Colors

Hello friends!

Today is the first day of Splitcoaststampers.com Dare to Get Dirty 2015! WOOT! WOOT!

This event is all week long. LOADS of fun stuff going on. Here's a tag I made for the first challenge of the event - hosted by the super talented Lydia Fiedler.

I started out by blending 3 distress ink colors on a tag - Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon. Then, I used water to stamp images from Crafter's Companion Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic Flying Colors stamp set. Turned out amazing!

I dried the tag with my heat gun, then blended Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Inks around the edges. The Crafter's Companion Die'sire Delicate Butterfly is diecut from Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock and mounted with foam tape. I used Tuxedo Black irRESISTible Pico Embellisher to make the trailing dots. I also added a fun gemstone sticker around the tag hole at the top.

The sentiment, which is also from the Flying Colors stamp set, is stamped and heat embossed. I mat it on shimmering cardstock, then attached with foam tape. The rhinestone flowers are from my stash, and I added tiny black rhinestones in the centers.

I LOVE these challenge! The inspiration is just what I need to get my craft on. To join in, you need to be a Fan Club Member. Not a Fan Club Member? Click HERE for more info.

Spectrum Noir CAS Challenge

Hi everyone! 1 week until Christmas! YIKES!!! Right now...if you're like me...getting things done quick is high on my priority list. Soooo....this will be QUICK! A quick post to show a quick tag and a quick reminder to play the Spectrum Noir December "Clean and Simple" Challenge. All the details can be found HERE.

I never seem to have enough tags...so here's a quick idea using Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils and a Spectrum Noir Marker in the eBrush. This Santa is as cute as they come! :)

Instructions:
  1. Die-cut a bunch of tags from white cardstock (I used Scalloped Tags from Crafter's Companion).
  2. Stamp the image on a Post-it Note (or masking paper of your choice) and trim out image --  above the line only. This is to make a mask for airbrushing.
  3. Stamp the image and words on all tags with black ink. I used a stamp set from A Muse Studio called Santa Mail. TIP: Position all stamps on 1 stamping block. Then you can ink up and stamp ALL the images at the same time for each tag! GREAT time-saver!
  4. Color all the Santa's with colored pencils. (colors listed below)
  5. Place mask over Santa and quickly airbrush with brush nib or chisel nib of a blue Spectrum Noir Marker marker. I used IB1 with the brush nib in the eBrush System. Do this to all the tags.
  6. Add glitter accents as desired.

Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils:
  • Face - 004, 009
  • Hat and Sleeves - 025, 026, 120
  • Gloves - 120
We would love to see what CAS projects you make this month with your Spectrum Noir products. You have till the end of the month to enter. Have fun and keep it Clean and Simple!

The Perfect Blend

Happy Saturday! Hey...did you see the tag I created over on the Fresh Brewed Designs Blog? Well...just in case you missed it...

Here's how I came up with the design idea. I thought Coffee and 4th of July. That's IT! I just started creating and coloring and having FUN! I love stamping and paper crafting. And of course I was drinking a cuppa fresh joe in the process.

These great images are colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. The coffee and cupcake are a rubber stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs called Love Mug. The sentiments are from a set called Skinny Minnie's Coffee Break. FBD also has a bazillion digi images! Go check 'em all out HERE.

I die cut a Tim Holtz Tag and just started sticking stuff on it.

Rhinestones, Chipboard, Designer Paper, Embossing, Paper Piecing...

I hope you have some creative time this weekend. Maybe you could join us for the Red, White and Blue Challenge over at Fresh Brewed Designs. You still have time to play with us! Click HERE

Tags, Boxes and Bags...OH My!

Hello again! I've got a project tutorial to share for Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge. This month we wanna see some Tag's, Boxes and Bags. Fun...right?! The possibilities are completely endless!!!

I designed a bag AND a tag. :) It's soooo easy to make your own treat and gift bags from plain 'ol paper sacks. I happen to have some mini ones (yes...I've been hoarding them!), but you can do totally do this with any size you've got on hand. Simple and quick...and completely transforms a plain sack into a beautiful gift bag! I did both front and back - but left the sides plain.

Step 1: Stamp flowers on bag with Versamark ink. Embossed with white embossing powder.

Step 2: Ink "journal page" stamp with light brown ink. Then ink up the center of the flower with yellow ink and the bird with light blue ink. Re-moisten ink on stamp by "huffing" on it - then stamp the image on white cardstock. Sponge Daubers or Mini ink pads work great for this technique!

Step 3: Trim "journal page" image and mat on designer cardstock. Trim as needed.

Step 4: Stamp sentiment on designer cardstock strip. Trim to create banner. Attach with foam tape.

Step 5: Die cut tag from designer cardstock. Attach journal panel with foam tape.

Step 6: Embellish tag with sequins, pearls, flower and ribbons. Attach to bag with clip.

BONUS! Make your own colored ribbon to match any project with Spectrum Noir Markers! Using the chisel end of the marker, simply color the ribbon and let dry. I KNOW! AMAZING!

We would love to see your tags, boxes and bags. Join the challenge and show us your goodies :) You could WIN a $30 Crafter's Companion Voucher! WOOT WOOT!
