Crafter's Companion 11th Birthday Celebration

The Die'sire Create-A-Card Base dies worked PERFECTLY to create fun interactive cards by using one of the smaller Create-A-Card dies (Rosie set) on the front of the card to cut a window. Just simply score the uncut edge and you have a hinged "PEEK-A-BOO" window card.

 
What a great card for the celebration...right?!

I used the Bebunni Peek-A-Boo Stamp set to stamp the images. I stamped and did paper piecing for added dimension and interest. The coloring and shading is done with Spectrum Noir Markers - CR3, IG1, BG1, TB9, LV2, DR6, CR7, GBR1, BGR3, Blender. For some sparkle I colored over the balloons, gift tag and ribbon with Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

Creating a Landscape Background

Hello everyone. I've got a new tutorial posted over on the Spectrum Noir Blog. It's a super fun and easy way to create a landscape background using Spectrum Noir Refill Inks.

Here's how I created the rest of the card:

1. Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment from Crafter's Companion Bebunni Floral Collection - Bloom & Grow Stamp Set on landscape background panel.

2. Die-cut and emboss the fence using white cardstock. Color the grass using Spectrum Noir Markers DG2, CG2 and DG.

3. In order to make the fence fit perfectly across the background panel, cut it apart as shown. Adhere the 2 ends down on the background panel first, then center and adhere the middle fence piece.

4. Die-cut and emboss the daisy border die from white cardstock. Color the stems, leaves and ground using Spectrum Noir Markers DG2, CG2 and DG3. Color the flowers using CT4, GB3, GB7.

5. Trim off the end of each strip to fit across the panel in front of the fence. Adhere the ends pieces on the fence. Adhere the 2 daisy borders to panel.

6. Die-cut and emboss flowers and leaves from Floral Delight In Bloom Metal Die Set. Color leaves with Spectrum Noir Markers DG2, CG2, DG3. Color flower centers wiith CT4, GB3 and GB7.

7. Snip off the bottom of 1 leaf. This will make 3 pieces to be used for the flowers.

8. Adhere leaves to background panel. Attach flowers with dimensional foam tape.

9. Mount landscape panel to white note card with dimensional foam tape.

10. Add a bit of glitter glue on flowers for sparkle.

April 2016 Calender Page

Hey there! Time to welcome in the new month with another calendar page.

Spring is a beautiful time of year here in Phoenix with all the flowers blooming. I decided my April page would represent a warm Spring day. I inked up the image from Crafter's Companion Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic - Silhouette Garden Set with a few pigment chalk inks. While the ink was still wet, I heat embossed with sparkly embossing powder.

The butterflies are diecut from Bebunni Floral Collection Butterfly and Bee Die Set. They are also embossed with the sparkly embossing powder. I popped them up with some foam adhesive and topped with black rhinestones.

TIP: To perfectly color match the butterflies, die-cut them from white cardstock and ink entire piece with same ink colors used for stamping.

March 2016 Calendar Page

Time to flip over the calendar! Here's my March page for 2016...

Bebunni sure looks cute peeking out from that Easter egg! I colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers:

• Bunny - CR2, CR3, IG1, IG2, IG3, IG5
• Bunny Nose - CR4
• Egg - LY1, GB2
• Grass - DG2, CG2
• Sky - BT1

To make the cracked egg, I diecut an oval, then snipped into 2 pieces, colored and glittered. The grass is just a few flicks and dots with markers...and a touch of green and crystal glitter. The tiny aqua rhinestone gems look like little flowers. MAN do I love all things bling! :)

  
The stamp set I used is Bebunni - Peek-A-Boo from Crafter's Companion. I stamped and cut out the part of the image I needed. TIP: This is a great way to get more bang for your buck out of all those stamp sets! You'll be amazed at how versatile stamps can be by using partial images.

Edge'ables Reindeer Dance

Hey there! The NEW Edge'ables Christmas Fancy Borders Dies are NOW AVAILABLE over at Crafter's Companion USA

I used the new Reindeer Dance Edge'ables Die on my card.

After die-cutting and embossing the reindeer border die, I added crystal glitter to some of the areas. A few red rhinestones on the snowflakes too. See how sparkly it is... all the great embossed detail?!!! LOVE

The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed white. I printed the PERFECT digi patterned paper from the new Nordic Christmas CD-ROM. It's soooo nice to be able to print papers anytime I need them. I totally recommend buying it!

The designer patterned paper is from the Elegance Card Pack. I only needed little scraps for all the die-cut pieces.

I cut out several presents of each of the cardstocks, then trimmed apart and paper pieced. You could make up a bunch and have them handy for quick gift wrapping needs.

Watercolored Bebunni Cabbage Rose

I thought it was time to share a Non-Christmas card. NOT that I'm tired of the Christmas stuff! I'll have more of that coming ;)

Birthday cards are always great to have on hand.

I diecut a bunch of hearts using Crafter's Companion White Pearl Shimmering Cardstock and the Bebunni Hearts Die set, then adhered. It's so hard to capture the true beauty of the shimmering cardstock on pictures. But believe me...that cardstock is luscious and die-cuts beautifully.

The sentiment is from Bebunni Floral Collection - Birthday Blossom Set - stamped on Kraft cardstock with black ink.

My favorite part of the card is the die-cut Bebunni Floral Cabbage Rose. I diecut and embossed the rose and leaves using watercolor cardstock. Then I watercolored them using Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Markers and a watercolor brush. I LOVE those markers!

Once the pieces were completely dry, I spritz on Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz. OH MY did that turn out amazing! The pieces perfectly match the White Pearl Shimmering Cardstock! I wish I could buy a gallon jug of that stuff! LOL

On your Special Day

Here's a card that just makes me happy. It's made using one of the new Edge'ables Only Words Dies from Crafter's Companion - On Your Special Day.

These dies work perfectly on a diagonal. The white layer underneath is stamped and embossed in white using a sentiment from the Vintage Floral Stamp Set - Sentimentals.

After adhering the blue die-cut piece to the white panel, I added microfine glitter to fill in the letters.

The little butterflies are from Crafter's Companion Bebunni Floral Butterfly & Bee die set. These butterflies are the perfect size for so many designs! Some black rhinestones, clear sequins and some bakers twine finish off the card.  I love how this design turned out, and it's one of my favorite color combos too!
