Corner Dies

Today popping in quick to share a fun way to use the Crafter's Companion Die'sire Classiques Corner Dies.This is another one of the dies that will be available during the HSN Crafty Event July 11th. For this fun project I used the Doily Corner Die. 

This die worked perfectly to jazz up the top of this DIY box/bag. Then I diec-cut another piece from the Rose Pearl Shimmer cardstock to add to the front.. The bird is actually from the new Feathered Friends Create-A-Card die. I just cut it out of and layered on top of black cardstock.

I used the New Spectrum Noir Artliner Brush Marker to write "Love" and mat it on silver glitter luxury cardstock.

The Hot Pink ribbon is new from the Sara Davies Signature Collection called Glamour. It's amazing!

Custom Box with Create-A-Card Die

Here's another project I made using the new Crafter's Companion Feathered Friends Create-A-Card Die that is coming to HSN on July 11th. These dies are great for making quick custom boxes!


I made the box lid using the Red Luxury Cardstock. Love that stuff! Inside the lid of the box, behind the cut out, I adhered clear acetate.

I lined the bottom of the box with silver mirror luxury cardstock and added a couple die-cut hearts from the silver glitter cardstock.

On the edges of the lid, I added some panels of the silver glitter cardstock and then some decorative tape. I also added silver Stickles Glitter Glue, black rhinestones and black ribbon.

Create-A-Card Feathered Friends

Hello friends,

I'm back again today with another Crafter's Companion sneak peek of what's coming July 11th to the big Craft Event on HSN.

I just know these new Create-A-Card dies are gonna sell out fast! They are seriously SO.MUCH.FUN!

For my card base, I used the Gatefold card base from the Crafter's Companion Create-A-Card Fancy Card Blanks set.

On the inside of the card, I die-cut the left section of the die, flipped it over to the right side and die-cut again. These dies are made to work perfectly like that! Awesome, huh!

The die set also comes with the heart die so you can do a bit more decorating.

Crafter's Companion USA Birthday Week Blog Hop

First - let me share a card I made using the wonderful NEW O' Holy Night Create-A-Card Christmas Die.

These new CAC dies are made to fit perfectly over the front of an A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") Notecard! I love it!

After I diecut the card, I removed it and treated with anti-static powder. Then I put the die back on top of the card and dabbed VersaMark Ink through the openings. Next, I took off the die and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. It turned out FANTASTIC!

The star is diecut from Yellow Pearl Shimmering Cardstock. (which is ON SALE during the Birthday Celebration Week!!!) To heat emboss the parts I wanted, I used a VersaMark Marker and carefully sprinkled on the white embossing powder and gold embossing powder. I also heat embossed the sentiment on the inside of the card with gold.

Christmas CAC Sneak Peek

WOW! Wait till you see the Christmas Create-A-Card A2 Dies we have coming out later this week at Crafter's Companion USA.

Here's a sneak peek...

This NEW CAC Christmas Die is called We Three Kings. It's beyond amazing!

I diecut and embossed 2 layers - 1 using Crafter's Companion Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock, the other from a gray cardstock. After cutting and embossing the grey cardstock, I left the paper in the die and used a sponge dauber to sponged on Memento Gray Flannel Ink. Next, I trimmed off the areas I didn't want and lightly sponged the Gray Ink around all the edges - then mounted with foam adhesive. I love how it turned out!

To get the white stars, I diecut the top portion of the die with white cardstock. The sentiment, from the Vintage Christmas Collection Sentimentals Season's Greetings Stamp Set, is stamped and embossed. I also stamped another greeting on the inside of the card. It says "Enjoy the Spirit of the Season" (from the same stamp set)

For the background, I airbrushed with Spectrum Noir Markers EB6 and TB8 on a piece of Kraft Cardstock. It turned out exactly like I planned. (Imagine that! LOL)

I used a beautiful piece of paper from the Vintage Christmas Collection 6"x6" paper pad on the card base, lightly sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The card card base is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and the CAC Die part is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Create-A-Card With Love

I don't know about you, but I love when I can make a card in less than 15 minutes. Especially when it looks like it took hours! Crafter's Companion Die'sire Create-A-Card Dies do just that. Here's one I made using the With Love CAC die.

Using quality cardstock, such as Crafter's Companion Shimmering Cardstock, REALLY makes a difference when going for a simplified design. If you haven't tried any of the shimmering cardstock, I highly recommend it. 

To make this card:

1. Diecut and emboss a panel of White Pearl cardstock.
2. Attach diecut panel to a slightly larger Black Pearl cardstock with foam adhesive tape.
3. Embellish with red rhinestones and red satin ribbon.
4. Adhere to white cardbase.

Clean and simple is my thing, but you can make projects as fancy and detailed as you want with these dies.

Create-A-Card for a Friend

TGIF! I'm up bright and early today. Going to watch my daughter's 8th grade promotion ceremony. Today is her last day of Junior High School. Next stop...High School. YIKES

The rest of the day I'm planning on spending in my craft room.  I'll be stamping, coloring, die-cutting...and who knows what else. Just gonna have fun! Will you be crafting today? How about making a card for a friend? Here's one I made using the new Friends Create-A-Card Die from Crafter's Companion USA.

To make this card, I took a piece of orange cardstock (one side orange, other side white) and made a top-fold card base. I die-cut and embossed on the front of the card, then sanded off the raised embossed areas.

Next, I took a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of white cardstock and stamped the "friend definition" image with green ink. I adhered it flat to the back of die-cut card front. Not only did the stamped panel add dimensional interest, it added extra stability to the card front. The flowers are die cut, embellished with enamel dots and glitter, then popped up with foam tape. The leaves are die cut and embossed, then sponged with green ink.

Create-A-Card dies are so fun! And the cool thing is they are made to fit perfectly on a standard A2 card. But you can do WAY more with them than just a basic card. NEW Die'sire Create-A-Card Dies

Hello friends. Great news over at Crafter's Companion USA!

6 NEW A2 Size Die'sire Create-A-Card Dies! 

Oh my...are they ever FUN! Let's get right to a sample project, shall we. I made this card using the new Thinking of You die.

You are gonna FLIP when I tell you how easy this is to make! 

Steps:

1. Place CAC die on piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white cardstock and run through die-cutting machine.
2. Remove piece from die and place on scrap paper.
3. Using Sponge Daubers, sponge ink colors onto die-cut piece.
4. Adhere die-cut piece to from of a white A2 note card.
5. Embellish with rhinestone stickers.
6. Apply 3D Crystal Lacquer to words. Set aside to dry.

SO EASY! These dies are absolutely fantastic. As you can see, I didn't run the die through my machine a second time to add the embossing details. That's one of the great things about these. You have sooo many options! I'll be sharing more projects here on my blog using some of the other CAC dies...so stay tuned.

Crafter's Companion is coming to HSN!

Mark your calendar! Set that dial! LOL. This coming Monday, May 11th, Sara Davis of Crafter's Companion will once again be on HSN! It's gonna be a day FULL of crafting, great products, inspiration, and best of all...FUN.

Our USA design team worked hard to create jaw dropping samples for the show. We wanted to make sure you had PLENTY of projects and inspiration that display just how fabulous the products are to create and craft with. Some of the samples are already floating around our USA Facebook Page. Have you seen any? Well, here's one of my projects featuring one of the Crafter's Companion Create-A-Card Dies.

The die is called Adore. And it is AH-dorable! I die-cut using Glossy Cardstock - then adhered to Shimmering Rose Pearl Cardstock.

 
I also die-cut more of the center heart, trimmed down and created a dangle element. All the rhinestones are Swarvoski. This projects deserved the best ;)

 
The sentiment is stamped and white embossed on a Scalloped Circle Die-cut. The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Vintage Floral Collection Sentimentals - Phrases Stamp Set.

The other two sides don't have the sentiment or ribbon, but do have a few popped up hearts and rhinestones. This can sit anywhere and look beautiful from all angles.

NEW Create-A-Card Die

Hey everyone! Did you happen to see all the NEW Create-A-Card A2 Size Dies from Crafter's Companion USA? They are soooo cool! Here's a card project I designed using the Adore Die.

Is that cool or WHAT?! So many ways you can design with these dies. The entire front of this A2 cardbase is diecut and embossed with the die.

On the inside, I added a panel that is waterecolored with Spectrum Aqua Markers. The sentiment, from Sentimentals Memories are Made, is stamped and embossed.

I also added the Delicate Butterfly die-cut to the front and crystal glitter around the edge of the big heart.
