AEI♥U Watercolor Challenge

When is a cupcake not a cupcake?  When it's a bouquet of watercolored flowers!
 
Let me explain...

I designed a card for this month's Avery Elle Watercolor Challenge using their Cupcakes stamp set. Now ya get it? ;) I didn't get my card entered for the challenge because I fell asleep early last night! oops!

This card was super easy! I love how it turned out!

To layer the images, I make some masks of the flowers and flag with Eclipse Art Masking Tape. That part is a little time consuming...but soooo worth it! The masks can be used again and again on future projects.

In the center of the flowers I used Glossy Accents and then sprinkled on crystal glitter.

Clean and simple...just the way I like it.

AEI♥U Embellishments Challenge

I'm joining in once again on the Avery Elle Challenge Blog.

On the first challenge, my card was picked for honorable mention! Little ol' me was doing the "GIT-R-DONE" dance. Heck...maybe one of these days I might win! Wouldn't THAT be cool! Blue skies are ahead! LOL! It's really fun...and it get's me usin' my stuff.

This time the challenge is Embellishments.

NOT like I don't have any embellishments hangin' around in my crafty stash! *wink*

I totally consider glitter an embellishment...but I tossed in a cool epoxy dot on the sun for good measure. Perfect!

I used 2 Avery Elle Stamp Sets - Happy Camper and Knotty. The panel with the strips is stamped using Sea Glass Pigment Ink. Turned out great!  I stamped the water with Aquamarine Pigment Ink -- but to make it a lighter shade, I stamped it off once on a scratch paper before stamping on the card. The sun is stamped with Mimosa and Fizz Pigment Inks. Cloud are stamped with Pure White Pigment Ink on Aquamarine cardstock.

AEI♥U Birthday Challenge

Avery Elle has a new Challenge Blog and my good friend Karolyn Loncon is the Design Team Coordinator. YAY Karolyn!! So of course I'm playing along to support her first official AEI♥U Challenge.

The 1st challenge theme is BIRTHDAY.
Are you gonna join the fun with me? If you don't have any Avery Elle stamps (yet) they have some free digi images that you can create with. Yep...no excuses! lol :)

This is the perfect challenge because I always need more birthday cards. I used 2 Avery Elle stamp sets on my card: Cupcakes and Handwritten Notes.

 

I spotted this layout in a magazine. Think of all the different tags you can create and plop down on this card!!! Idea overload for sure! You're welcome.

 I stamped with Ranger Distress Inks and did some shading with Spectrum Noir markers. Some glitter on the frosting, a perfect little flower die cut using Avery Elle Cupcakes ELLE-ments die and a candy button finished off my yummy vanilla cupcake.
