Let's ROCK 'N ROLL!

I LOVE these "Rock N Roll" Style stamp sets by Sheena Douglass from Crafter's Companion. SIX NEW SETS NOW AVAILABLE! Go get them all! ;)

I used 3 of the sets on my card. The main image is from the Shout! set. The sentiments are from the Sing set. The stars and distress are from the Grunge Band set.

All the images are stamped on Crafter's Companion Kraft Cardstock. Soooooo quick and easy...but it looks like a lot went into it...right?! Just sponge some distress ink around the edges of the panel and BAM! It totally comes to life! I also used a white gel pen to fill in the word Sing on the sentiment. Totally makes it pop, doesn't it! On the stars, I painted on some Moonlight Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

The panel is mounted to black pearl shimmering cardstock and mounted to a card base made from the shimmer cs. I love how the brick designer paper frames the main panel. That paper comes from the new Just For Men Signature Collection by Sara Davies - 6"x6" Paper Pad Urban Collection.

Live like there's no tomorrow

Hi everyone. Here's a super easy CAS card I designed Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens and stamps from Crafter's Companion.

The stamp image is from the Sheena A Little Bit Scenic - Silhouette Highlands set. I used this set on my June calendar page that I shared on my blog yesterday, HERE.

I scribbled the Sparkle Pens - Fig, Macaroon and Ocean Wave - on an acrylic block, spritz water on both the block and watercolor cardstock panel, then pressed the block to the cardstock. Once dry, it left a beautiful washed-out blend of shimmery colors.

I stamped the image with Black Archival Ink and adhered to a panel of Crafter's Companion Black Pearl Shimmering Cardstock and added a few sequins. THAT'S IT! See how simple...yet stunning?!!
I love my Sparkle Pens.

To make this into a clean and simple card design, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a white notecard. The image panel is attached with dimensional foam adhesive.

Check out the Spectrum Noir Blog for more fun projects and ideas using the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.

Blessings,

Delicate Butterfly Trio

Hello friends,

This butterfly die from Crafter's Companion Spring/Summer Die Collection is one of my new favorites. It's called Delicate Butterfly.

On the white cardstock panel, under each butterfly, is a stamped mesh patterned image from Sheena's Ageing Beautifully set. To get the ink colores to coordinate with the butterflies, I stamped-off the color once before stamping on the white cardstock panel. I us this "stamping-off" technique all the time. It works great when you don't have an ink color that matches your paper or other elements.

Under the blue butterfly, I stamped a blue text strip - stamping the ink off once as well. The little black stamped butterfly and the "life" sentiment are from Sheena's Silhouette Garden set.  The ink splatters were done with ink color spray. I just love these colors together! I got inspiration to make this card from a design in one of my SU catalogs.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Creating a simple sunset

Happy Friday everyone! I'm not sure if you checked out my blog post a few day back (here), the card with the airbrushed background. On that post, I shared a link to a "creating a sunset" tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog. Make sure and pop on over to check it out.

I used the eBrush to make the sunset panel on this card as well. Then I stamped the beautiful scene. As a reminder, you don't need to have the eBrush to create a simple sunset. The tutorial doesn't show using an airbrush. I was inspired by the tutorial to make the simple sunset - and to get out my eBrush and play around with it. Both ways turn out amazing! You can also experiment with different marker colors.

I airbrushed the Spectrum Noir markers in this order: CR8, OR2, GB5, GB6

To stamp the scene, I used a 2 stamp sets from Crafter's Companion: Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic Silhouette Garden and Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy - Silhouette Wildflowers. I stamped off some of the ink, where you see the lighter shaded stamped images. I heat set the ink to make sure it was completely dry before stamping and embossing the final images. The embossing powder I used is called Black Sparkle from Ranger. Sooo cool!

The sentiment is from A Muse Studio, and is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Ink. Main image is mat on black cardstock, then 3D mounted. 3 little black rhinestones give a nice balance and connection to the image panel.

May your day be as beautiful as a simple sunset.
