chickadee, chickadoo...

...another fun project just for you!

Welcome back for another day of May Arts/Our Craft Lounge Blog Hopping!
I have a treat for you today...
...a treat box that is.

I stamped the zig zag pattern from the Every Heartbeat set on the kraft cardstock with Frayled Burlap Distress Ink -  then cut out the template.  I also sponged the edges before assembling.  Did you notice on the ends of the hang tag -- I used pinking scissors! They are coming back in style...at least in my craft room. ;)  I cut the ends of the ribbon on the tag the same.

OK...now I gotta whine for a minute.
It drives me CRAZY that one side of the green net ribbon on the front of the box is bigger than the other!  But since I stuck it on there with my hot glue gun...it is what it is. UUUGH! So not perfect!  LOL.

The flowers are from the Fabulous Florals set.  The chick & sentiment are from the Hey Chick set.

  15. Awesome project! I really LOVE it! Didn't really notice the ribbon issue, until you mentioned it. I assumed you put it on an angle to get that look! ;o)

  16. I never noticed that 1 side of the ribbon was larger than the other until you mentioned it. Even when I did notice it, it just looks like it's due to a camera angle or something.
