Home for the Holidays

Hello crafty friends! Have you checked out our current challenge over at Spectrum Noir? The theme is "Clean and Simple" (aka CAS). My fav! Get all the details HERE.

For my sample, I used some great stamps from Eat Cake Graphics along with my brand NEW Sparkle Pens from Spectrum Noir.

Here's another picture I took at an angle that doesn't show the shimmer from the Sparkle Pens.

And here's another angle...more closeup of the sparkle.

First, I did a sky and snow wash on the watercolor cardstock panel. After that was completely dry, I stamped and heat embossed the trees in white. Then I watercolored them with the Sparkle Pens and a watercolor brush. I stamped the house on a scrap piece of watercolor cardstock, heat embossed in white. After coloring with the Sparkle Pens, I trimmed out. These sparkle pens are fantastic! See all those tiny little areas on the house? I was able to color those directly with the pens. Awesome! Here's the pens I used:

  • Background "Sparkle Wash" - Moonstone & Crystal Clear
  • Trees - Emerald Green, Holly Leaf, Smoked Quartz
  • House - Red Berry, Holly Leaf, Smoked Quartz, Moonlight, Crystal Clear

Have a great week my friends!
