Extraordinary Stag

Since Father's Day is just around the corner, our challenge this time over on the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog is to make a card for the occasion.

Get all challenge and prize details on the blog - plus check out the design teams great samples!

I used 4 great A Muse Studio Stamp sets on my design:

Woodgrain Background
Extraordinary Background
Winter Stag set (yep...it's one of our Christmas sets...but not JUST for Christmas!)
Essential Sentiments set

I am a HUGE fan of stamping my own designer paper! I stamped the Woodgrain background image on Kraft cardstock with Versamark ink and the Extraordinary background on Ivory Cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. Yep...I moved and I ended up getting a shadow stamped...but it looked cool so I went with it ;) The stag and tree image is stamped on Bristol Vellum which is available from A Muse Studio.  It's a fantastic paper for watercoloring...but it's not all bumpy like watercolor paper.  You can see how nice it stamped with Memento ink!  I colored with Copic Markers.  It's 100 lb so it's nice and thick. I LOVE the stuff!

I scored a frame on Cocoa cardstock then sanded it off.  No ribbon or bling...just a touch of Vanilla Twine as a finishing touch on the sentiment.

Sooo....are ya gonna play the challenge with us?  We really need more player!!!!  How can you pass up the chance to win a prize -- and this time it's some Ribbon, Ink and a Surprise Stamp Set!!!!  NOW are you interested?! hee hee hee.  You have until Saturday June 23.  PLENTY of time to make something ;)

I totally had to come out and check out your stag card. I wondered if you'd lost your mind and went all non-A Musey on us for the A Muse challenge. I totally forgot about this guy being in the Christmas sets! You rock for thinking outside the holiday box!
