A Muse Calendar Project

A Muse 2011 Calendar Project

It's calendar time again over at A Muse Artstamps!! This year all the proceeds from the sale of the calendars will benefit Charley's Fund.

I have a super easy photo calendar project to share with you. Not only is it super easy...it's also for the guys! That's right...something for the GUYS!

Mike and his dad went fishing in Alaska a couple months ago. I wanted to come up with a fun "crafty" way to display some of his pictures. The A Muse 4 x 6 calendar was the prefect answer! It's a new size Linda is offering this year. AND...a Black & White versions too!! PERFECT!

I designed a re-usable calendar base that you can change out the month pages and personalize it with photographs.

Photo corners make it easy to change out the calendars and pics. I covered them up with a little triangle scrap of matching cardstock.

The calendar is printed on A Muse Latte cardstock. To save paper, I printed on both sides. A Muse paper is colored on 1 side...white (or natural white) on the other. I like that it is gives me a variety on the calendar pages throughout the year.

Simple stamping & coloring with pencils. TIP: If you are printing double-sided, don't use markers that will bleed through the paper. THAT would NOT look pretty.

A Muse has some great "guy" stamps. You can do so much with them. On the Fishing Hat, I used a Copic Multiliner pen to draw a little hook. (And if Mike doesn't notice it...you can bet I'll be pointing it out to him! ha)

Great idea Lori!

Check out what I did on the back!!

A pocket to hold the calendar pages and pictures. Git-r-done!!!

This was such an easy project. Change up the theme and colors and you have a great gift for anyone. Here are the measurements (h x w):

Calendar pages 4" x 6"
Pictures 4" x 6"
Mat 8 1/2" x 6 1/4"
Base 9 1/2" x 7 1/4"
Back Pocket 2 1/2" x 7 1/4"
Back Top Strip 1" x 7 1/4"

The calendars are now available for sale HERE. You can get the entire collection for a donation of only $15!!! I hope you'll join us in support of Charley's Fund--they are so fun to make and give, and such a wonderful, not to mention easy, way to donate to a great and worthwhile cause.
