Recipe for a Happy Spring

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #67

WOW! 67 projects so far!! You should see my basket FULL of HM creations. I loooooove looking at them. Don't think I'll ever give 'em away. They're one of a kind pieces of art -- and I just can't let them go. Yes...I know...F.R.E.A.K!

This week Lisa has a recipe for us to follow:
  • 2 Patterned Papers
  • 3 Flowers
  • 1 Ribbon
Create anything you like with the recipe...just make sure to use at least 1 House Mouse or Friends image on your project. Details and design team samples can be found HERE. There is a prize this week..so be sure to check it out.

Muzzy sure loves smelling Spring flowers :)

2 patterned papers. One has dots all over it...the other has flowers all over it.
3 flowers are cut out of the patterned paper.
1 ribbon tucked behind the main image layer.

The glitter I used is to die for! It's hard to see in the pics...but I used 2 colors of Art Glitter - Blue Boy and Spring Mint. Just soft touches of it. You just can't get the same effect with crystal glitter. Seriously...colored glitter really make a difference. And BOY does Barbara Trombley have the colors to pick from! Over 400!
Pretty Colors
The sentiment is embossed. White gel pen dots all around the main image and some on the inside of card. I added a bunch of bling to the flowers & leaves. Coloring done with colored pencils & Gamsol. To add a little white shading around the entire image...I used white watercolor pencil and my Aqua painter to slap some on. You can barely see it...that's the way I wanted it to be...but it's there.

Would you like the chance to be part of our wonderful design team? Get on over to the blog for details on how to apply HERE. Good luck!

Love how you used kraft for this card! I am so like you about hoarding my cards, but am trying to send a "few" out here and there...just to justify my expensive hobby LOL!
