Happy Birthday Mom!

Yesterday my mom turned 70. Doesn't she look fabulous!

For Christmas she gave me the coolest Sarah Kay 3D Mini Decoupage book. I decided to make her something from that book. I didn't make this into a card that opens....I put an easel on the back so it can be set out on display -- like a picture. Ummmm...assuming that's what she's gonna do with it!

Didn't this turn out cool! Each little layer is cut out (which you can see in the pic below) and assemble using foam tape. Yes...all those tiny little pieces lovingly cut by hand and put together with lots of teeny pieces of foam tape. I actually had to wear cheater glasses to cut 'em out!

The orange dot paper in the background was also from the Mini Book. All the other papers are from Wild Asparagus & SU. I used a scalloped border punch to make the scalloped frame layer. Genius I tell ya!

I added Flower Soft on the grass. Glitter on the dog & cat's bows and ribbon on the stick. Sparkly Fluff on the girls hair bow.

Happy Birthday Mom!
