House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

It's time for a House Mouse Challenge!

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #54 - Movies
Our challenge this week is by Stacy. Create a card using a movie title as your inspiration. And guess what -- there's a prize this week! Not just ANY prize...but a prize from House Mouse Designs!! Yep...the Official House Mouse & Friends Website! GIT-ER-DONE!!!! Challenge and prize details HERE.

My card is based on the movie It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. A classic for this time of year.

My card base is a template that I cut freehand. It's hinged at the stem. I drew a separate template for the leaf. Shading is done with Colorbox Chalk Cats Eye Ink Pads. I just swiped them directly on the cardstock. I LOVE how it turned out! And that fun beaded wire stuff is so cool! Can't tell you what brand it is...cause I bought from a store that went out of business like 4 years ago. The sentiment is embossed.

I used some of the newly released colors of Shimmerz paints on Mudpie's pumpkin costume. You can see in the closeup where I painted with it. There's actually 3 colors on there. Wed Wagon is on the darkest areas of the pumpkin, Golden Wheat on the rest. The stem is painted with Mossy Stone.

Hope you find some stamping time to do the challenge. Remember....you now have 2 weeks.

FYI - Today is the last day to submit for our Design Team Call. Details HERE.

Sad news :( Stacy and Carolyn have decided to leave the design team. They have both been with us since the beginning of the HM & Friends Challenge Blog. We are sure going to miss them!

This is fabulous Lori - brilliant work on the template and the colouring is superb. I've never seen the movie but I'm a great Charlie Brown fan and I have a book with cartoons in it about The Great Pumpkin in the Sky.
One truly fabulous card.
hugs Heather xx

I love it! This is adorable. Though, I must admit I'm a bit partial to the mouse in this image, heee, hee! Your pumpkin is gorgeous and I love that shimmerz paint you used on the stamped image. And, better yet, so current, since Halloween is just around the corner. Keep on stampin' on!
